Vihan's POV

There was a letter inside written in a very neat handwriting.

'Hey pretty woman...

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so I tried to capture your beauty in these pictures and these photos left me speechless. Your beauty is not just in how you look, but in the way you light up the world around you. You lit up mine ever since I crossed paths with you.

I can’t help but wonder what it would be like to have someone as extraordinary as you in my life. If you’d be willing to take a leap of faith, I’d love to meet you—no strings, no pressure, just two souls and the promise of something unforgettable.

Would you let me have the honor of seeing you soon on a blind date? The rest, as they say, is destiny."*

I crumbled it and cursed.

" Vihan!! Language!! " She said immediately.

" I will kill this man... How dare he click your pictures... See he has pictures of the day before yesterday at the wedding and then some were clicked yesterday and some were clicked even today. And he got them printed and sent to you, which means that he is stalking you. "

" What rubbish!! Stop it! You are reading too much into it. He is just a simple admirer. " She argued

" A simple admirer doesn't approach a girl like this." I retorted.

" But he wants to meet me. " She said.

" You will not even think of it. " I said firmly.

" Why not?? " She got annoyed like a child who was denied an entrance to an adventure Island.

" Because I am saying it. " I said firmly.

" Are you my dad, or tauji or my elder brother? " She asked glaring at me.

What happened to her??

" Roohi, I... Care for you. You are my best friend. "

" You are crossing that line, Vihan. I am  your best friend too, but have I ever tried to dictate to you that you can't meet any of those random girls? I am your friend, not your girl friend, so I can't stop you from meeting other girls, the same applies to you as well. " She retorted.

"Roohi, his motives don't look good. I am a guy, I know how guys think... He just wants to take advantage of a very rich, beautiful doctor girl. We don't  know him or his background."

" Same way, I am a girl and know how they think and none of those girls you dated have any feelings for you, most of them are just wanna-be, they just want to be seen with a super rich, very handsome doctor. And if by chance he falls for her, it is not a bad bargain. And not all men are like that... Do you take advantage of the girls?"

"Roohi!! You know I don't... I always make sure in front of the girl that it will be strictly no strings attached relationship, I never dated a girl more than thrice. I don't take advantage of anyone. We go ahead only if she is interested, knowing there is no future in this relationship. " I retorted.

" I know!! And maybe this person is also like you. Maybe he genuinely likes me... Or do you think that it is not possible that a man can like me? Since no one has ever been interested in me." She said.

Oh, no! Only if she knew, how many I had to handle to keep them away.

" Roohi... No!! What are you saying..."

" The truth for a change... I know I am boring, nerd and guys are not interested in me and my overprotective brothers play an important role in it... But if someone is interested in me for a change, why are you spoiling it for me by telling me all that? I thought you would support me. Shit!! I am missing Mihir and even Gauravi they would have supported me. " She said and became very upset. I could see her eyes getting filled with tears.

Oh God!! She would kill me if she came to know.

"Okay, if you don't trust me, tell any of your brothers about this person, the gifts, pictures and messages... Then see what he says. "

" Wow!! You want me to tell them so that they beat the poor chap to a pulp. Raj and Ron have always been annoyed with you and Mihir as they used to think that there was something more than just friendship between us and they would have beaten you both years ago if I hadn't threatened them that I would never talk to them, if they ever scold or beat any of both of you." She said.

" Roohi... This man..."

" Enough! Don't you have any work at all?? Go and work, at least I am very busy. Please leave, I am thoroughly annoyed. I don't  want any discussion on it." She said and turned her back towards me.

How do I make her understand...

" Roohi..."

"I have my OPD in 15 minutes. Please leave. " She said and I came back after giving the instructions to staff in that department that they will not accept anything on her behalf or I will get them punished with night duties or double duties schedule. They just nodded. I also told the security to let me know first if such a delivery man came for Dr Roohi.

I had an OPD in about 10 minutes, so I went to my department. And got busy.

I was very busy for the rest of the day but was uncomfortable with the arguments we had and I knew she was very upset with me. I do know what happened between us, everything was good till that sangeet night of Mihir's wedding.

Roohi has changed and the rift between us was getting more and more she was not listening to me and was taking everything in a different way than I had intended to mean it. There must have been something that hurt her... She has never been like this. I can't let her do something that might harm her.

I would not let her drift away from me. She was important to me... Very very important.

So I decided to take her out for a dinner where I would try to make up for whatever had hurt her and mend whatever is ruined between us.
