Chapter 9
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
âThe gentle breeze brings a sweet fragrance. My darling Livy smells so good.â
The man was burying his nose in Oliviaâs neck, taking a soft sniff.
Everyone called her Olivia, except for him, who called her Livy.
He said, âOlivia is everyoneâs Olivia, but Livy is only mine.â
At the end of his sentence, the man forcefully pushed down his hip as if he intended to pin Olivia to the bed.
Olivia felt like a fire burning inside her, making her forehead sweaty. She struggled to open her eyes, wanting to see the face of the person over her, but there seemed to be a mist clouding her vision, preventing her from seeing clearly no matter how hard she tried.
She could only go up and down, following the manâs actions.
When Olivia woke up, it was already 9 oâclock in the morning.
She let out a sigh and massaged her forehead, bewildered as to why she would have such a dream.
âCould it possibly be the hormoneâs fault? However, I have no special feelings toward any men.
âSince I canât figure it out, I will just put it aside for now.
âThere are many things to do today. The dinner party is scheduled for today. Although it starts in the evening, preparations should be made. during the day,â she said inwardly.
The life assistant sent to her by Amelia had already arranged a series of procedures.
After having breakfast, Olivia would do the whole bodyâs skin care. Additionally, she needed to do her hair. The clothes had already been delivered, and she needed to try them on to see if they fit. If there were any areas that were not suitable, necessary adjustments had to be made as soon as possible.
After finishing breakfast, Olivia walked toward the door. Her assistant, Abigail Murphy, had already pulled the car out, saying, âMs. Taylor, the appointment is scheduled at 10 oâclock, and time is running short.â
Previously, Abigail worked at the Taylor Group. Due to her efficiency and exceptional abilities, she was chosen by Amelia to become the personal life assistant.
Later, she was appointed as the life assistant of Olivia.
âJust call me by my name.â Olivia got in the car.
Abigail readily complied. âAlright, Olivia. Weâre a bit short on time. I need to drive a bit faster. Please make sure youâre seated securely.â
Olivia nodded and leaned back against the chair, looking out the window. After approximately 10 minutes of driving, they passed by an intersection called Summon Street. Olivia pointed at the sign by the roadside and asked, âArenât we going to Summon Street? We canât go through here.â Upon hearing this, Abigail glanced at the sign and realized she had taken the wrong turn.
âOh no, this is bad.â Abigail wanted to turn around, but there was no sign indicating where to turn ahead.
Olivia glanced at her and said, âNo need to turn around. Turn left at the second intersection ahead, go straight for 300 yards, turn right, and you will reach Lantes Street. It leads to the beauty salon.â
Following Oliviaâs direction, Abigail indeed arrived at Lantes Street.
She breathed a sigh of relief, feeling in the mood to talk to Olivia. âOlivia, you know this area well? Do you come here often?â
âNo.â Olivia shook her head. âI havenât been here before.â
âHow come you are so familiar with this route?â asked Abigail in surprise. She hadnât seen Olivia using a navigation app on her phone, yet Olivia seemed to know the route so well as if she had passed it countless times. before.
âOh,â said Olivia with a calm tone. âI looked at the map and knew which roads were passable before we left.â
Abigail was left dumbfounded.
âHas she memorized the map? Did she just glance at it and memorize it?
âI am very familiar with this route and often go to this salon, but I didnât know that there was another way to get there. But Olivia only glanced at the map and became very familiar with this place.
âShe is a genius!â said Abigail inwardly.
For a moment, Abigail was rendered speechless, as she couldnât ascertain whether Olivia was lying or genuinely possessed an extraordinary ability to memorize everything with just a glance.
It was necessary to understand that maps could be quite troublesome with the various intersections and forks. People who did not frequently travel these routes simply couldnât remember them at all.
Olivia was busy all day and had to finish her lunch quickly, It was not until in the evening that she finished everything.
Abigail drove Olivia back when the dinner was about to begin.
Olivia was leaning on the back seat, supporting her chin as she looked out the window. At this time, the traffic was at its peak. Abigail was driving very slowly. It took over half an hour just to cover a few miles, Time was rapidly slipping away.
Abigail wiped the fine beads of sweat off her forehead and pointed toward the subway station ahead, saying, âOlivia, weâre running out of time. This road is too congested. Why donât you take the subway instead?â
âTaking the subway?â thought Olivia. She twitched her lips and found it a bit funny.
âWith this?â She pointed to the long, iceâblue formal dress and the threeâinch high heels on her feet.
This outfit was indeed inconvenient for taking the subway. Abigailâs face turned red as she said, âThen, Iâll take a shortcut to get you back as quickly as possible.â
During the conversation, she pressed the accelerator and collided with a white car in front of her.
âOh no!â
Abigail closed her eyes and turned around immediately, saying, âOlivia, take the subway back. I will handle this here.â
Olivia carefully examined Abigail and found her to be quite interesting. âAre you staying?â
Abigail nodded and said, âI need to handle this here. I have to wait for the insurance companyâs representative to arrive and determine the responsibility with the traffic police.â
The reason seemed to be quite convincing.
However, Olivia did not respond. She simply lifted her gaze and glanced at Abigail casually./
With just a glance, Abigail felt like her thoughts were being read. Immediately, she felt embarrassed and started an unnecessary explanation, saying, âI shouldnât have taken this route. I forgot today is Friday.â
âAre there any spare clothes?â asked Olivia.
âIf I went to the subway with this dress, it would get wrinkled and look like driedâup vegetable leaves, definitely not wearable again,â she said inwardly.
Olivia had been to this kind of party a few times. She always brought a spare outfit. One could never guarantee that accidents wouldnât happen. In case of spilling on her clothes, she would have to change into clean clothes in the changing room.
âAh?â Abigail was taken aback. She had not expected Olivia to know about spare clothes. âIsnât this her first time attending such a fancy party?â she wondered.
Despite being caught off guard, Abigail responded promptly, explaining, âYour clothes were all customized in Moriland, and this is the only one prepared for you.â
âThe only one?â said Olivia inwardly.
Olivia almost giggled. She looked up at Abigail with serious and beautiful eyes and said with a tone full of hidden meaning, âYou are certainly a qualified assistant.â
After finishing speaking, she opened the door and got out of the car. Meanwhile, Daniel was leaning against the back seat, reading documents inside a luxury car not far away in the rear.
Andrew was sitting in the child seat next to him, swinging his two white and tender legs, confidently commanding the driver, âMr. Ward, play a song.â
Danielâs thoughts were pulled away from the documents, and he casually glanced at Andrew.
Andrew was very sensitive and perceptive, instantly noticing his fatherâs attitude. He felt that his father was despising him.
âIâm working,â Daniel said as he raised the documents in his hand. When he heard these words, Andrewâs long and beautiful eyes narrowed. He turned his head to look at Daniel carefully and spoke with a firm and assertive tone, âIf you can work, why canât I listen to music?â
Although he spoke with great momentum, as soon as he finished speaking, he bit his lower lip in frustration, his eyes turning red as he struggled to hold back his tears.
âIt was agreed beforehand that he would accompany me today. However, all day long, he was working, and even at the amusement park, he made Mr. Ward accompany me,â said Andrew inwardly.
Andrew did not like this.
The fourâyearâold boy had been attending kindergarten for over a year. Among the other children in the kindergarten, each had a father and a mother, but he only had a father who did not come to see him often.
At the tender age of four, little Andrew already understood the feeling of loneliness and solitude.
Seeing his son about to cry but holding back, Daniel let out a sigh, rubbed his throbbing temples, and looked out the window absentmindedly.
At that very moment, a familiar silhouette caught his eye.
âLivy⦠Daniel muttered and ordered the driver instantly, âStop!â
