Chapter 68
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
Olivia knew how to swim, but she was knocked down too suddenly and could not react in time.
Moreover, she still had Andrew in her arms. Subconsciously, Olivia wanted to protect him and lift him up above the water.
Olivia couldnât care less about herself. Her head was submerged in the water.
Immediately after, there were shouts and the sound of people splashing into the water. In the chaos, Olivia seemed to have bumped her head. Olivia fainted just like that.
When she woke up, Olivia was already lying in the hotel room with a circle of people around her.
Seeing that Olivia had woken up, everyone surrounded her.
Olivia glanced around and saw Emma. Emmaâs eyes were red and swollen like a walnut.
âOlivia, youâre finally awake. You scared me to death.â Emma wiped her eyes with a tissue, her eyes filled with concern.
Olivia pressed her acupuncture points and said, âIâm fine.â Then, she turned to Daniel and asked anxiously, âWhereâs Andrew?â
Daniel carefully sized up Olivia. Seeing that Oliviaâs expression was normal and her body was fine, Daniel replied, âMr. Wilson took him back. Donât worry, heâs fine.â
Olivia nodded. Just as she was about to heave a sigh of relief, Olivia heard a calm voice come from above. âYouâre too careless. Itâs fine if you fell down yourself, but you even implicated Mr. Andrew. Heâs not even five years old.â
The one who spoke was Lola. Lola had finally found an opportunity to counterattack Olivia. Lola had spared no effort.
Lola kept nagging that Olivia was wrong and insisted on putting on a brave front. It would have been better if Olivia had let the staff carry Andrew, but Olivia insisted on doing it herself. Now, Olivia had caused the child to fall into the water.
If such a young child had a fever after falling into the water, it was not a 13:05 *5 vouchers big deal. However, Andrew was probably terribly frightened. Andrew might suffer from psychological trauma after the accident.
Emma raised her hand to stop Lola. Emma looked like she was speaking up for Olivia. âStop talking.
Olivia didnât do it on purpose. She just wanted to hug Mr. Andrew. Who would have thought that she would fall into the water?â
âDonât speak up for her.â Lolaâs tone was harsh. âAndrew came here to give her a lotus seedpod. He didnât ask her to carry him. Olivia insisted on carrying Andrew.â
At this point, Lola glanced at Daniel and said meaningfully, âI heard that there are always some women who want to get close to you, Mr. Sullivan. When they canât get close to you, they think of a way to circle around and use the child to get close.â
âStop talking.â Emma tugged at Lolaâs sleeve. âKeep your voice down. Olivia is not such a person.
Moreover, our family has arranged for her to go on a blind date with Ethan. Why would she go to Mr.
Sullivan?â
Emma asked Lola to lower her voice, but Emma spoke loudly herself.
âWhy not?â Lola glared at Emma. She was disappointed that Emma did not live up to her expectations.
âYouâre so innocent. You have no idea. Why would a child like someone for no reason? Tell me, there are so many people here. Why doesnât he like you, me, or Ella? Why does he like Olivia? Is it because sheâs goodâlooking?â
As soon as Lola said this, the surrounding people fell silent.
Even Ethan, who had a good impression of Olivia, looked at Olivia suspiciously.
Lola was right. Andrewâs love for Olivia was indeed inexplicable. âLetâs not talk about this first.â Lola continued, âLetâs just talk about the fact that she went to carry Andrew. The child didnât ask her to carry himself, so why would she? It was all to show Mr. Sullivan that she was close to Andrew and cause Mr.
Sullivan to misunderstand.â
Lolaâs analysis made perfect sense! Olivia probably would have clapped for Lola if she was a bystander. However, Olivia was the main role of Lolaâs story, and she didnât play any tricks.
This was because Lolaâs analysis was very reasonable.
âHow do you explain that?â Lola crossed her arms and stood in front of 13:05 the window, looking down at Olivia.
After being submerged for a while, Olivia was still a little uncomfortable. When she heard Lolaâs question, Olivia was instantly a little stunned. Olivia looked up at Lola. âExplain what?â
âWhat else do you think?â Lolaâs tone was aggressive. âWhy did you have to carry Andrew, of course?
Why did you do that? If you didnât carry him, he wouldnât have fallen into the water. If Emma hadnât reacted quickly and jumped into the water to save Andrew, Andrew would have been submerged in the water for half a day.â
Speaking of this, Lola turned to Daniel. âMr. Sullivan, you are a man. You canât distinguish a womanâs trick. If you donât understand Oliviaâs methods, I wonât force you to take sides. However, you have a child with you, so you have to be careful in everything. People say that itâs better to make a mistake than regret it. It doesnât matter if you can tell if Olivia is playing tricks. Stay away from her.
âOf course, itâs good if Olivia didnât play any tricks. If she did and hurt Andrew, you wonât be able to afford the risk.â
Olivia had always been calm about these things. She was never afraid of what others said or suspected.
But today, looking at Danielâs calm face, Olivia actually felt her heart ache. It was an indescribable discomfort.
Olivia frowned slightly and covered her chest and mouth.
An unimaginable sense of grievance took over Oliviaâs rationality and spread throughout her body. All of a sudden, she did not want to explain.
Daniel could do whatever he wanted. Olivia didnât care if Daniel believed her or not.
It was rare for Olivia to lower her eyes and sulk.
After waiting for a while, seeing that Daniel was silent, Lola reminded him, âMr. Sullivan, donât you think Iâm right? Nothing is more important than Andrew.â
Daniel looked up with a deep gaze and nodded heavily. âYouâre right. Andrew is the most important.â
Lola was overjoyed. Just as she was about to cheer, she heard Daniel continue, âBut the logic is wrong?â
What was wrong?
13:05 Lola was a little confused.
Daniel said slowly, âIf Olivia hadnât carried Andrew, Andrew wouldnât have fallen into the water. This logic is not right.â
Lola subconsciously scratched her chin, not understanding. âThen what?â Daniel said in all seriousness, âIf it werenât for the two of you squeezing on the side of the ship, Olivia wouldnât have had nowhere to stand and accidentally fallen into the water. Therefore, you and Emma should be blamed.
Also, if Ethan hadnât suggested taking the boat, we wouldnât have come to the lake today. This way, Olivia and Andrew wouldnât have fallen into the water. So we should blame Ethan. Most importantly, we should blame the park. If the lake was not made and thereâs no water, how can we fall into the water?
Therefore, we should blame the park.â
Emma, Lola, and Ethan were dumbfounded for a long time.
âCan, can you do that?â Lola stuttered.
Daniel turned around. His tone was still elegant, but the words he said made Lola blush. âIsnât this your logic? I followed your logic.â
Towards the end, Daniel had lost his patience. His tone was cold and merciless. âMs. Greenâs logic is indeed good.â
Daniel mocked Lola mercilessly!
Lola could no longer maintain her composure. Her eyes were red.
Emma did not expect Daniel to say such a thing. Although Lolaâs logic was incorrect and full of loopholes, Olivia was indeed the direct cause of Andrew falling into the water.
Ordinary people would not think so thoroughly and would take their anger out on Olivia.
They did not expect Daniel to be like this. Even Ethan had been tricked by them, but Daniel was still rational.
Emma frowned. She went forward and pulled Lola to block her. Emma looked up at Daniel with a stubborn expression. âIs this how you do things? Making a little girl who really cares about your son cry?â
Then, without waiting for Daniel to answer, Emma said, âI was wrong. I always thought that Mr. Sullivan was an outstanding gentleman. Today, Iâve finally seen it for myself. It turns out that Mr. Sullivan has such a harsh and cold side.â
At this point, Emma smiled sadly as if she had been wronged. âHaha, to think that I worshipped Mr.
Sullivan. I didnât expect you to be such a person. You canât tell right from wrong. Youâre mean and rude.â
After saying that, Emma pulled Lola along. âLetâs go.â
After pulling Lola to the door, Emma turned around and looked at Ethan. Emma bit her lower lip and looked at Ethan with her big watery eyes. âAre you leaving?â
As if heâd been electrocuted, he jerked his head around.
