Chapter 18
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
Olivia could not bear it any longer. She moved slightly to the side to pull away from Daniel.
Seeing her clumsy and rigid movement as she pulled away, Danielâs eyes showed a trace of sadness.
However, he quickly regained his composure. His expression was back to normal. He let go of Andrew and moved backward.
Now that Olivia got farther away from Daniel, she finally sighed in relief. She was completely relaxed.
âItâs probably because I have an ordinary face that lacks distinctive features, so you find me familiar,â
Olivia said as she bent down to lift Andrew into her arms.
With Andrew in between her and Daniel, Oliviaâs expression relaxed somewhat.
She thought, âItâs strange, though. This Daniel is entirely different from what I heard in those rumors.
âEverybody says he likes to wear black clothes, but heâs wearing a pink shirt today.â Olivia had always had a soft spot for pink. She especially liked men wearing pink clothes.
She felt that it would soften the masculine vibe. Still, this pink shirt on Daniel did not neutralize his cold and stern demeanor and accentuated his powerful and imposing presence even more.
âOrdinary face?â Daniel said as he chuckled. He lowered his head to touch the pinkâdiamond cufflinks on his sleeves. âMs. Taylor, youâre too lacking in confidence about your appearance,â he continued.
Olivia thought, âIs he complimenting me?â
Olivia smiled and said, âThank you.â
âWell, I should be the one to say thank you,â Daniel said with his hands in his pockets, his narrow eyes glancing sideways at Olivia. âYou donât like kids, yet you agreed to Andrewâs mischievous invitation and came over to accompany him.â
She thought, âWhen did I stop liking kids?â
Olivia felt that Daniel was acting strangely. His tone was somewhat sarcastic.
12:39 Billionaireâs Missing Darling +5 vouchers She was not someone without a temper. It was just that she dealt with Daniel courteously out of consideration for Andrew. Unexpectedly, Danielâs behavior became more and more inappropriate.
âI really like kids,â she said. Her tone was unpleasant.
âIs that so?â Daniel said as he chuckled twice. His voice suddenly turned serious. His gaze toward Olivia carried a piercing sense of intensity that was uncomfortable to look at. âWould a person that abandons her husband and child like kids as well?â
Olivia thought, âWhat exactly is he talking about?â
Oliviaâs temper flared up as well. She coldly said, âWhoever you accuse of abandoning her husband and child, go look for her then. Donât take your anger out on me for no reason. Iâm just here as a guest invited to come over. If you do not welcome me, Iâll leave right now.â
Daniel carefully scrutinized Oliviaâs expression. He frowned slightly, and his gaze was filled with doubt.
Andrew wrapped his chubby arms around Oliviaâs neck. He thought, âWeâre initially welcoming Olivia with so much excitement. Why did it turn into an argument?â
Caught between his father and his beloved Olivia, Andrew felt so torn that he was on the verge of tears.
Andrewâs little face was buried in Oliviaâs neck.
Olivia sensitively sensed a trace of dampness. Then, she immediately realized that her tone during the conversation had been too harsh. Hence, she had frightened Andrew.
She immediately felt sorry and comforted Andrew in her arms, paying no attention to Daniel. She immediately carried Andrew into the house. Daniel stood at the same spot. He was motionless. He simply gazed at Oliviaâs back as she walked away. He was lost in thought.
Zoe was indoors. She was unaware of what had happened. When she saw Olivia carrying Andrew, she immediately walked over and said, âHow could you let the guest carry you, Andrew?â
Andrew raised his head, revealing a damp little face.
Zoe was surprised. She thought, âOh dear. Why is he crying?â
Olivia sat on the sofa, holding Andrew in her arms. Zoe brought tissues, wanting to wipe Andrewâs tears.
12:39 Billionaireâs Missing Darling +5 vouchers Andrew quickly turned his head, not wanting to let Zoe wipe his tears. He then turned to Olivia and said endearingly in a soft tone, âI want Olivia to wipe.â
âYou little rascal!â Olivia said as she tapped his nose playfully. She then took a tissue to wipe his tears.
Andrew obediently raised his little face and remained still.
Zoe stood at the side, watching this scene with astonishment. She thought, âThis is the first time Mr.
Andrew shows such affection for a woman.
âIn the past, Mrs. Sullivan brought home so many women, hoping that one would become Mr. Danielâs wife and take care of Mr. Andrew. Those women were gentle, adorable, knowledgeable, and sensible.
There were various types of women.
âHowever, there wasnât a single one that Mr. Andrew liked. He avoided all of them without exception.
âAnd this Ms. Taylor in front of me. Mr. Andrew has only met her once, yet he clings to her like this.â
Olivia gently wiped Andrewâs smooth face. As she looked at the slightly teary corners of his eyes, she regretted her previous impulsiveness even more. She thought, âI should have controlled my emotions.
âItâs strange, though. Heâs just a little boy whom Iâve only met twice, yet Iâm willing to endure grievances and control my emotions for his sake.
âIf things were able to start all over again, even if Daniel were to act even more out of line, I would endure it as long as I wouldnât frighten Andrew.â
Andrewâs face was soft and smooth. As Olivia touched it, she found herself unable to stop touching it.
Andrew felt sheepish as a result of being touched. His cheeks were flushed.
He blinked his attractive eyes, raised his head, and asked, âOlivia, would you like to see my painting?â
âSure,â Olivia said as she nodded.
Andrew happily pulled her up. He then ran to a room upstairs.
This was a beautiful childrenâs room. It was filled with small toys. Various adorable child paintings were hung on the walls.
Andrew grabbed hold of Oliviaâs hand and introduced a painting. âThis is 12:39 Billionaireâs Missing Darling Peppa,â he said.
15 vaschera Olivia recognized this pig. As she looked at it carefully, she got a little perplexed. âWhy is it blue in color?â she said. She remembered that it was a pink pig.
Andrew stretched out his chubby little hand and pointed to a spot in the lower right corner of the painting. âThis is what children see through the glass,â he said.
âIs the glass blue in color?â Olivia asked.
âYup,â Andrew replied and nodded vigorously.
âYouâre so smart,â Olivia said.
That compliment left Andrew feeling bashful. His cars were flushed.
âHeâs just a little child, yet he feels bashful,â Olivia thought.
The more Olivia looked at Andrew, the more she loved him. âHow I wish he were my own child,â she thought. âI really want to take him away.â
After seeing the painting, Andrew invited her to play Kinetic Sand.
Andrew had a room with pink Kinetic Sand, which could be used to build castles, airplanes, and ships.
Olivia took off her shoes. She then went into the room barefoot to play Kinetic Sand with Andrew.
As both worked together, a mighty and magnificent castle was built. There was even a beautiful gate.
Olivia propped her chin and looked at the gate. She felt that something was missing.
âI got it,â she thought. âAn inscribed board is missing.â
She then lowered her head, wanting to look for a pen to write a few words on the gate.
However, she did not manage to find a pen. Instead, she saw a big foot coming toward her.
She was stunned for a moment. That big foot then stepped on her foot.
It did not hurt. The other party probably did not exert any force. Instead, that person merely pressed his leg against hersâ¦.
The warm skinâtoâskin contact made her shiver uncontrollably.
She did not wear socks. She was barefoot. There were fine grains of sand on her instep. That big foot was firmly attached to her instep 12:39 +5 vouchers motionlessly.
Olivia suddenly felt annoyed. She raised her gaze angrily. Just as she was about to say something, she heard the other person talk with a tone of voice that sounded as if he was giving a perfectly reasonable explanation for his action. âGive way,â he said. âThereâs no space around to stand.â
Olivia suppressed her anger just like that.
This room was not spacious. It was meant for children to play. The castle and the gate had already been built at the center of the room. There was no space at all. There were only two corners left to stand.
Andrew occupied one corner, while Olivia occupied the other corner. There was no space left, yet this man still squeezed into the room. Olivia lifted her head to glance at him. She did not give way. Her message was very clear. She hoped this man would be more selfâaware and leave the room as soon as possible.
Daniel lifted her eyelids and glanced coldly at Olivia, taking in her emotions.
âHmph, she is still as easily irritated as before,â Daniel thought.
Ignoring Olivia, he then turned to Andrew and asked, âYou built this castle, huh?â
Andrew was delighted when he saw his father. He smugly showed off his end product to him. âOlivia and I built it,â he said. âItâs beautiful, right?â âItâs beautiful,â Daniel said with a gentle tone. He was not at all as imposing as he was before. Instead, there was a sense of grievance and sadness about his demeanor. âI want to play as well,â he said.
âAre you serious?â Olivia thought.
Children were straightforward. âSince Daddy wants to play, letâs play together then,â Andrew thought.
He then beckoned to Daniel and said, âLetâs build a big plane, Daddy.â
âAlrighty, Andrew,â Daniel said. Before Daniel finished talking, he had already sat down next to Olivia.
He pressed himself against her closely.
Olivia glared angrily. Daniel raised his eyelids and said, âWell, thereâs no space.â
âJeez, this annoying man!â Olivia thought as she gritted her teeth.
