Chapter 105
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
The car arrived at the house. Upon hearing the sound of the vehicle in the courtyard, everyone in the Sullivan household rushed out. They assumed the renowned doctorâs granddaughter had arrived. Only Yvonne remained seated.
Isaac glanced at Yvonne. âArenât you going?â
Yvonne was confused. Why should she go? She didnât even know his granddaughter. But then she quickly thought that Isaac must want her to get along well with his granddaughter.
With this in mind, Yvonne smiled and cheerfully responded, âThen, Iâll go and welcome her.â
The Sullivan family members came out one after another. Only Daniel, Isabella, and Isaac remained seated on the couch.
Being young and curious, Harper was at the forefront. She took the lead and was the first to see the car. At first glance, she instinctively furrowed her brows. Wait, this didnât seem like Isabellaâs car.
Others came out gradually. Harper looked at Grayson uncertainly and asked, âGrayson, isnât this our cousinâs car? I thought Mrs. Sullivanâs car was sent to pick up the renowned doctorâs granddaughter.â
Grayson also frowned. âItâs Auntâs car.â
The car came to a slow stop, and Henry was the first to step out.
Seeing him, Grayson was even more puzzled. âWhy are you back? Werenât you supposed to drop Olivia off?â As she spoke, her face fell. She turned pale immediately. âDonât tell me sheâs back again.â
Her words had barely escaped when she saw Olivia stepping out from the back of the car.
Graysonâs eyes almost popped out of their sockets. Her face contorted as she pointed at Olivia and shouted angrily. âWhy is she here?â
She was bursting with anger. She questioned Henry furiously. The renowned doctorâs granddaughter was about to arrive to treat her aunt.
Not to mention, Yvonne and Olivia were not on good terms. She was worried that Oliviaâs return would trigger a conflict that might disrupt her auntâs treatment.
Thinking of this, Grayson wished she could tear Olivia apart and devour her.
However, she still had some rationality. She knew that she couldnât make a scene now. Isaac was still in the room. She couldnât let Yvonne and Isaac see Olivia.
She lowered her voice and pointed at Olivia. âYou, leave right awayâ¦â She paused and looked at the garage nearby. âGo hide in the garage.â
As soon as she finished speaking, Yvonne came out. She was slightly behind the others, so she came out later.
âWhoâs hiding in the garage?â She playfully quipped, moving past the group and stepping forward.
However, when she saw Olivia in front of her, the smile vanished from her face.
âWhy are you here?â She furrowed her brows, her voice dripping with anger.
They still got caught. Grayson sighed and hurried forward to comfort Yvonne. âMs. Yvonne, just ignore her. Itâs the driverâs incompetence. He brought her back again. Iâll send her away right now.â
âSend her away?â Yvonneâs eyes turned dark. She glanced at the door and mocked, âArenât you afraid Mr. Sullivan will be angry?â
Graysonâ face turned pale when she thought of Daniel, but she quickly regained her composure. With a conciliatory smile, she said to Yvonne, âSheâs just a woman. How can she compare to Mother?â
Upon hearing this, Yvonne finally felt satisfied. She nodded in agreement, her expression iceâcold as she looked at Olivia with eyes like a venomous snake. âGet rid of her. I donât want to see her.â
Grayson nodded and turned to Olivia. She was about to give Olivia a piece of her mind.
Seeing this, Henry quickly intervened, âNo, no!â The situation had developed too rapidly, and he hadnât had time to react. He was accustomed to staying silent as a driver and wasnât skilled in verbal disputes.
So he couldnât explain himself.
Grayson frowned at him, thinking he was concerned about Daniel. She rebuked him immediately, âDo you even understand the urgency of the situation? The most important thing right now is Mrs. Sullivanâs health. As for other women, they are utterly insignificant.â
Saying this, she cast a disdainful look at Olivia and continued with an air of arrogance, âHmph, sheâs lucky to have even entered the Sullivan attention were solely on Olivia now. He completely ignored her.
Yvonneâs expression changed when she didnât receive any response from Isaac, but she quickly composed herself. She approached Isaac, tugging at his sleeve with a pitiful expression. âGrandpa, youâre finally here. You have no idea how they bullied me just now.â
Isaac was somewhat stunned. He turned to look at Yvonne and suddenly said faintly, âWho bullied you?â
âItâs her.â Yvonne pointed arrogantly at Olivia, âItâs her, Grandpa. You donât know this, but sheâs the Taylor familyâs daughter who went missing for 18 years. She always uses her status as a Taylor family member to bully me.â
Isaacâs gaze fell on Yvonneâs wrist, and he noticed she wasnât wearing the jade pendant. It took him a moment to realize they were not friends.
He had misunderstood!
Isaac disregarded Yvonne and walked straight toward the courtyard, making his way toward Olivia.
Isabella exclaimed, âMr. Smith, where are you going?â
Ignoring the shocked and puzzled gazes of everyone around, Isaac walked straight up to Olivia, his seemingly calm eyes holding back an overwhelming torrent of emotions.
His lips moved slightly as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he restrained himself. He raised his hand, wanting to touch Oliviaâs soft hair. But he trembled, and his movement paused in midâ
air for a while. He couldnât do it.
Olivia reached up and gently pressed his palm down against her head.
In that moment of contact, Isaacâs eyes unexpectedly grew moist as if unlocking the floodgates of emotions. His lips trembled open. âOlivia, are you still angry with Grandpa?â
This sentence was like a drop of water falling into a boiling pot of oil. Instantly, it caused huge waves that shocked everyone present.
