Chapter 10
Billionaire’s Missing Darling
âAre you going to leave me behind?â Andrew immediately reacted and turned his head to glare at Daniel in anger.
Daniel didnât have time to pay attention to his son and directly told the driver, âTake care of Andrew.â
Then, he raised his hand to push the door open and get out of the car.
The driver was nervous. âMr. Sullivan, where are you going? What about Mr. Andrew? Do you want me to send him back to the old mansion?â Danielâs gaze returned to Andrew and met his sonâs round and angry eyes. He instantly swallowed his words about sending Andrew back to the old mansion and said, âSend him to the Taylor family for the dinner party.â
The driver thought, âIs Mr. Sullivan letting Mr. Andrew go to a dinner party on his own? Heâs only four years old!â He was stunned.
By this time, Daniel had gotten out of the car. He raised his hand to touch the little boyâs fluffy head and said in a cold voice, âArenât you going to pick out a wife for me? Go ahead and pick one!â
When Daniel got out of the car, Olivia had already gotten off the subway elevator.
Looking at the elevator that was already going down, Daniel didnât hesitate and ran directly toward the escalator.
On the other side, after Olivia left, Abigail instantly relaxed and leaned over the steering wheel to catch her breath.
Thinking about Oliviaâs tone of voice when she left, Abigail felt both fear and guilt in her heart.
She wasnât a good assistant. She went against the ethics of her profession.
After breathing heavily while leaning on the steering wheel several times, she calmed down and returned to her senses. She took out her cell phone and dialed the number. âHelloâ¦â
But before she could say more, a womanâs excited voice came from the other side of the phone.
âAbigail, did you make it?â
Abigail sounded tired. âYeah. Sheâs already gone to the subway.â
âGreat!â Grace jumped up happily. âIâve got it all set up over at the subway. There are reporters and a couple of men hired. They will follow Olivia when they see her, and when she gets on the subway, those men will follow her and surround her, crumpling her clothes. Then, the reporters will take photos of her. As long as those photos are shared online, her reputation will be ruined!â
âHahaha!â Grace was overjoyed and kept imagining. âIs it mean or poor for a rich young lady to wear a gown and push her way through the subway? A wealthy young lady squeezing through her way with many men on the subway. Is the subway too crowded, or does the young lady have a special fetish?â
She thought of several topics in a row, each more nasty and vicious than the other.
Abigailâs brows furrowed as she listened. âWill it be too excessive?â
âToo excessive?â Grace sneered. âIn terms of excessive, who can compare to her? Abigail, you donât know many things. Olivia is always arrogant. Given that she is the Taylor familyâs biological daughter, she has been making things difficult for Emma. Emma is so kind and will hold her grievances in her heart and endure them silently. She even refused to say a bad word about Olivia, so how could she retaliate back?â
Grace was exasperated. âYou donât know how far Olivia has gone. Weâre just teaching her a lesson and giving her a warning. Itâs just to make her look bad, and weâre not doing anything too much.â
âButâ¦â Abigail was still worried.
âDonât worry!â Grace interrupted her. âWhat is there to worry about? Itâs not like weâre taking indecent photos. Itâs just a few photos of her wearing a gown and pushing through her way on the subway.
Moreover, Emma is so nice to you. Donât you want to repay Emma?â
Abigail fell into silence when talking about Emma.
It was Emma who recommended her to be Ameliaâs assistant.
She should repay Emma for her kindness in recognizing her worth. Moreover, over the years, Emma gave her a lot of help both in her work and life.
âLetâs take this time as a return to her!â thought Abigail.
When the elevator to the subway arrived and the doors opened, Olivia held her phone and looked outside. She didnât step out.
Even after everyone else in the elevator walked out, Olivia remained motionless.
A brief moment later, she raised her hand, pressed the button for the ground floor abruptly, and closed the elevator doors.
Several people were in the elevator car when she came down. Everyone else looked at her curiously, wondering why she was taking the subway when she was dressed so grandly.
When she went up, Olivia was alone in the elevator.
Olivia was not a person who liked to compete and win. Often, it was not that she competed with her rivals but that they were too weak and naturally let her win.
Regarding the Taylor family, Olivia valued kinship, and as for property and status, she didnât care.
However, this did not mean that others did not care.
The other party had made repeated moves to try and stomp her into the mud.
Olivia did not want to compete, but more than that, she did not want to be stepped in the mud.
What had happened at the Taylor family the last couple of times had touched her bottom.
Olivia hated that people set her up!
Abigailâs tactics were too rough. Although Olivia didnât know her purpose, it could only be two things.
One was to make her late for the dinner party, and the other was to get people to block her in the subway to take her ugly photos.
âHow dare she use such an idiot tactic against me?â cursed Olivia inwardly.
Getting out of the elevator, Olivia took out her cell phone and dialed a number.
In a short while, an RV drove up to her, and her assistant came down to open the door for her. âMs.
Taylor, the makeup artist and stylist have all arrived.â
Olivia nodded and got into the RV.
Inside was a full of all sorts of supplies. In addition to cosmetics and styling supplies, there were also two spare gowns, all of which were brands under the Olle Group.
Olivia was an important shareholder of Charm, one of the brands under Olle Group, and was even the backbone of research and development, so she enjoyed a great deal of privilege.
Sitting on the seat, Olivia closed her eyes. âLetâs go. To the Taylor familyâs place.â
The RV started smoothly, and the makeup artist and stylist immediately came forward to Olivia.
The assistant sat in the passenger seat and turned to ask, âMs. Taylor, do you want me to arrange a life assistant for you?â
In the past, Olivia was tied up in the lab 24 hours a day, and at most, she would go home and sleep.
Her contact with people was limited, so she didnât need a life assistant. But now that she had returned to the Taylor family, there were a lot of rules and trivia, so she would need to have one. âYou arrange it.â
Oliviaâs tone was careless.
She didnât care about the matter of having a life assistant. She returned to the Taylor family for the sake of her grandfather, but she wouldnât stay with the Taylor family all the time.
In the future, anything like this had nothing to do with her, and it wouldnât come up again.
On Oliviaâs way back, Grace called Abigail in a hurry. âDid Olivia really go to the subway?â
Abigail was dealing with the insurance companyâs people. Hearing Graceâs words, she froze for a moment before she reacted and subconsciously said, âYeah. I watched her get off the elevator. Whatâs the matter? Is something wrong?â
After asking, Abigail suddenly had a bad feeling in her heart.
âSheâs gone. Those people I arranged have been guarding the elevator entrance, but they didnât see anyone come down.â Grace was so anxious that her throat was a little hoarse.
Abigailâs heart tightened, and her tone became anxious. âCould it be that she was wearing something else and you guys didnât recognize her? Or was she shielded from view by someone else?â
âNo way!â Graceâs tone was agitated. âA total of three people came out of the elevator. How could they block her? And just to be on the safe side, I purposely gave those people I arranged a photo of Olivia, and they should all know her.â
âShe didnât take the subway!â Grace was now anxious and confused.
She did set Olivia up to make a fool out of her, but she didnât want anything to happen to Olivia. If Olivia embarrassed herself, everyoneâs attention would be focused on the fact that she made a fool of herself, and no one would care why that would happen.
But if something really happened to her, like if she disappeared or got hurt, theyâd be in big trouble.
The Taylor family was not easy to fool. At that time, they would definitely send someone to investigate the matter, and no matter how perfect their preparations were, they would still be found out.
It didnât matter if she was found out, but she was afraid of involving Emma.
After all, she was Emmaâs assistant.
No one would think that it was a mere assistantâs selfâdecision, and everyone would assume that it was Emma who had set Olivia up.
