Huo Mian had been busy earlier and did not make the time to go back to her parent’s home.

She had brought the twins along this time so her mother was very joyous.

“Grandma, I miss you,” Little Bean said in her usual fawner self. Then, she ran over and gave her grandma a big hug.

“Little Bean, Pudding, I’ve missed you so much. How come you haven’t visited me more often?”

“Mommy’s too busy… Now she’s been fired, so she isn’t some sort of director anymore. We’ll have much more time to visit you now.”

Yang Meirong did not know about this even though Bella and Zhixin knew. They, however, did not tell her.

“Ah, it’s fine Mom. I’m going to give birth soon. Chu and my mother-in-law told me to go on maternity leave anyways… so I won’t be going to the hospital for a while.”

“That’s good. I agree. You should have done that a long time ago.” Yang Meirong felt relieved after hearing her daughter’s explanation.

Also, Zhixin was Qin Chu’s brother-in-law, so some people may be talking behind their backs, and they wanted to limit it.

The two had been through a lot and they weren’t young anymore. It was only natural that they got married.

“Mom, that’s great news. We should celebrate today. I’ll go out and buy some stuff so we have a feast this afternoon,” Huo Mian said joyously.
