Warning Label

*NOTE* just in case you don't remember a prior note. Jeremy is now Wes. When editing Labeled, I felt it was the best to change Jeremy's name due to the mix ups happening with him and Jerry.

The last three days fly by in a blur, I am on my best behavior keeping it entirely friendly with Jade. I enjoy having her at the house and I'm going to be really lonely when she goes back to her place for good. I'm going to miss her cooking, I tell myself often. That's all it is. I also haven't been whacking off in the shower on the daily to thoughts of her. Nope, not I. I'm so fucked in more ways than one and not the good kind.

My entire session on Wednesday was about Jade, my feelings for her, my reluctancy, my issues. "Sometimes the best guidance isn't from words but from observation." is what my therapist said. I left more confused than ever but told myself Jade deserves the best and I'm just not at my best. I don't know if I'll ever be. I put my feelings for her aside and made sure she was okay, safe, and happy staying here.

When I walk through my front door, Jade is in the kitchen, her back to me. My eyes instantly going to her ass in the tight fitting jeans she has on. Shit. damn. She twirls around to face me and my gaze instantly moves to her face hoping I wasn't caught checking her out. Holding a coffee cup in her hands, "Hey!" she greets me with a stunning smile, Marlin at her shoes, rubbing against her legs. It's going to be really hard come Sunday.

"Hey." I return the greeting. Marlin trouts over, and I greet him in pets.

"How was your day?" she blows on the mug. We text throughout the day but she always asks me how my day was when I arrive home.

"Boring but not bad." I move further into the house, placing my bag on the kitchen stools, "What did you do?" I ask her, I know Friday's are her down days with no classes.

"I slept in, did some laundry, cleaned a little."

"You cleaned?"

She shrugs, "A little. I wanted to do it today since tomorrow will be my last night and we're going to the track tonight."

"You didn't have to do that."

She shrugs, "I wasn't about to leave your guest room a mess."

"I would've cleaned it."

"Ew, I'm not gonna have you clean up after me."

"If I recall correctly, you had to clean up after me."

"Yeah and I'm fine with that."

"Alright then. Thank you."

"Sure!" she smiles brightly. "I just fed Marlin too."

"Perfect! Okay, I better get changed so we can head over to Vance's." I move into my room and get changed. "You eat anything?" I yell out.

"Just some lunch earlier."

I pull on some jeans, and grab a shirt, pulling it over my head as I walk out my bedroom door, "You wanna grab something on the way over or at the strip?"

"I'm good now, does the strip have good food?"

"Yeah, it's your typical vendor food."

"I love that greasy shit."

I laugh, "Alright then." and take in Jade's black tank top, her tattoos on display, making her look more like the badass she is. Jade needs a warning label. I clear my thoughts, "Do you have a sweater or something, you may want to bring one."

"I'm not sure I do. It's been fairly warm, I don't think I packed one."

"You can borrow one of mine, it'll be big but sometimes the temps drop and it's a pretty open area. Better to have one than not." I go back into my closet and look for a hoodie, grabbing one I still have from high school. Why the heck do I still have this? It's black with a large tiger jump outward on the front.

"Oh my goodness, I cannot believe you still have a high school hoodie." Jade moves forward and takes it from my hands, holding it up in front of her.

"Yeah me either. You ready?"

She folds the hoodie over her arm. "Yep." There's a small purse across her body and I nod in approval.

"Alright let's get outta here." I move towards the door, opening it for Jade and grab my North Face zip up off the hook just inside the foyer.

The drive to Vance only takes a few minutes, the driveway is full of cars. I can see my brother's, Wes's, V's, the whole gang's here. I park behind Vin's BMW and glance at Jade, "You ready for this?"

"Heck yeah!"

The garage door is open, the lights spilling out, my loud family and friends can be heard the closer we get. I push open the door and take in the space. Loud cheers ring out at our arrival, and it feels like old times again. It's not mom and dad's place anymore but the tradition still continues on. Wes stands up, "Bro!"

I haven't seen Wes in a long time, he looks the same. Still tall, lean, but has facial hair. "Wes, long time!"

"Shit, it's so good to have you coming out with us again."

Taylor, V's best friend and Wes's long time girlfriend stands next to him. "Hey Taylor." I greet her, noticing her blonde hair is shorter than she used to wear it. "Hey Victor, good to see you."

Jade's holding her own behind me with the assault of my brothers, I grab her hand and pull her away from Vaughn and Vance. "Hey!" Vance shouts, his hands up, making Jade laugh.

"You guys know Jade?" I ask Wes and Taylor.

"I've met Wes, but I haven't met his hot girlfriend yet." Jade reaches her hand out to Taylor. "Nice to finally meet you." Jade is a people person through and through, she's not bullshit, polite but holds her own. It's an extremely attractive trait. It's also why she's so great at bartending. V joins us, wrapping her arm around my waist, "Hey Victor." I wrap my free arm around her, squeezing her to my side. "Hey Peanut."

"I'm so glad you guys are coming!"

It isn't until the moment the girls break off into their own little trio, that Jade's hand removes from mine. I was holding it that whole time.

Not a super long chapter but I feel like it's wrapped up alright. The next chapter will be Jade.

I wasn't feeling too great earlier and took off work, it ended up working out okay. I wrote another 1000 words! 4 Updates in a row! WINNING!
