Chapter 1381
Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife
Chapter 1381
He sighed and said, âThen, she left Westchester and went back.â
As soon as the words subsided, things went quiet.
Odell looked down and saw her soundly sleeping with her beautiful eyes closed.
She might still appear weak, but she was a lot better when he had seen her outside.
His gaze turned warm as he stroked her cheek before his eyes slowly closed and his mind wandered off to dreamland.
When her eyes opened, it was already night and there was only a warm lamp left on in the room.
Odell had woken up before she knew it and was reading a book by her side.
When he noticed her open eyes, he went up to place his hand over her forehead and then took her temperature using the
medical thermometer.
38° Celcius.
Sylviaâs eyes brightened. âThe fever has gone down.â
Odell frowned. â38° Celcius means you are still having a fever.â She was by no means recovered yet.
Sylvia chuckled. âItâs better than it was in the morning.â
Odellâs gaze shifted. âHungry?â
Sylvia nodded.
âWhat do you want?â
â| want grilled meat,â she said after a quick thought.
Odell glared at her. âSomething light.â
Sylvia pondered. âWhy donât we go out and have a walk? The night view here is quite attractive, and there's a lot of good stuff to
eat.â
âIt's cold outside. We'll go when you get better,â he said flatly but indubitably. There was no way he would let her go out in such a
condition.
Sylvia laid back down with a disappointed look. âThen, get something that | can eat. I'll just simply fill my stomach.â
Odell glanced at her. He then picked up his phone to check on the list of contacts for the well-known
restaurants around the area that Cliff had prepared for him.
It was then that Sylviaâs phone buzzed.
Sylvia grabbed her phone and saw the texts from the
group chat. She got up and tapped on the received text.
From Liamâs number came a voice. âMommy, what are you doing? Flint misses you. | canât eat properly without you.â
It was obviously Flint grumbling using Liamâs phone judging from the voice.
Sylvia choked. Just when she was about to reply to him, she saw another voice message from Isabel.
âMommy, donât fall for that stupid Flintâs trick. Heâs been playing outside the whole day and just got home!â
Sylvia was rendered speechless.
Flint said, âMommy, | just came home, but Iâve been missing you on the way back.â
Sylvia chuckled. âMommy misses you guys too. Where did you guys go today?â
Isabel replied, âMommy, we went out with Ben and Jacob today. Flint got surrounded by a bunch of girls the moment he entered
the theme park, so Liam and | went off to play on our own.â
Flint denied, âNo, Mommy! | wanted to follow Isabel, but she ran away too fast! She dragged Liam away and | canât catch up to
them!â
Flint voiced his grievance as his voice grew softer.
Isabel interrupted, âMommy, heâs lying! | dragged Liam
and him together, but he slipped away and went back to the girls!â
Flint yelled, âNo, Mommy! | didnât! They ran too fast, so | couldn't keep up. That's why we got separated.â
The sister and brother's bickering amused Sylvia.
The two little rascals were great entertainment.
Just when Isabel sounded like she was about to teach Flint a lesson, Sylvia interrupted and said, âOkay, Mommy got it. Isabel
and Liam didnât leave Flint behind, and Flint didnât slip away to find some girls on purpose, right?â
