Chapter 1183

Love After Marriage: Mr. Lancaster's Hidden Wife

Chapter 1183 Janine trembled as her face turned pale, but she regained her composure and balance shortly after that. “I don't

believe it. Even if he‘s still thinking about that wretched girl, he must have some feelings for Shannon, or he wouldn't have

married her.”

“You keep telling yourself that.”

Matthew got fed up with arguing, so he got up and left. Janine cried, “Where are you going? What about Shannon? Are you

going to sit back and do nothing while that horrible girl ruins Shannon and John‘s marriage ?”

Matthew left without providing an answer, leaving Janine stomping her feet furiously.

Anight passed at the Stocktons’ residence.

Hailey woke Sherry up and went to the canteen for breakfast together.

Emerence did not stop Sherry this time, but she brought over two stacks of files after Sherry filled her stomach.

One of the two stacks contained all the rules and employee guidelines.

The seemingly endless rules and condensed paragraphs

gave Sherry a headache. She only curiously skimmed through the bold titles.

She wondered which idiot came up with all these tedious and ridiculous rules for all the employees. It did not only contain what

each and every family member of the Stocktons liked and disliked but every employee was also required to memorize everything

without fail. On top of that, the employee guidelines clearly stated when and what they could eat or sleep. It even limited their

time for releasing themselves in the toilet. Sherry tossed it aside after a few glances and went on to the second stack.

This next stack was the work schedule tailored specifically to her.

Starting from tomorrow, she could no longer stay in the dorm until late in the day. She had to wake up early in the morning, clean

up, have her breakfast and reach John’s chambers by six o‘clock to serve him.

Her responsibility was to answer John‘s every request.

As for her working hours, if John was at home, the working hours would be from six in the morning until ten at night. If John went

to work during the day, she could do whatever she wanted but was limited within John's premises because she was required to

be on standby and serve him when he came home at night around ten o‘clock.

Seven days a week, there would be no rest or holiday. The only benefits she got were meals and accommodation. Sherry

continued to flip through the files but did not see anything about pay. She went to Emerence to voice her question. “Aunt

Emerence, what about my pay?” Emerence wore confusion on her stern face. “You were brought back by the master, so he is in

charge of your pay. Didn't he inform you about that?”

“No.”

“He is the one paying you. Uncle Marlow and | are not responsible for your pay. Please ask him yourself.”
