YEH LAMHA ✅
"Jaan, wake up," someone said, but I was lost in a dream, a sweet dream with Aahan. But that voice, it was so irritating. "Jaan, wake up, na," the voice persisted, and I sighed, trying to find my pillow to snuggle into. But then, someone pulled my pillow away from me. Not again. I was going to kill Aahan. I said this to myself as I refused to open my eyes. "Jaan, enough now. We have our flight today," he said, which made me finally open my eyes.
Suddenly, it hit me that I had forgotten all about it. I couldn't believe it and shouted, which made Aahan jump. He put his hand on his chest and asked, "What happened?"
I explained, "I don't have any western clothes, and it will be uncomfortable to wear a saree or any ethnic wear." I nervously played with my hands, and my voice was a little deep due to just waking up. Aahan tried to comfort me, "It's okay, Jaan. You look sexy in a saree, and that reception look was-" Before he could finish, I threw the pillow directly at his face, but he caught it.
He continued, "Don't be like this, Jaan. That was the truth," with a wink.
I was fully aware that I must have looked like a ripe tomato due to all the blushing. He couldn't help but smirk and slowly approach me, teasingly reaching out his hand towards my cheek. I quickly slapped his hand away and ran towards the bathroom as fast as I could. I could hear his voice taunting me, "Run, my dear. But don't forget, I'll catch you on our honeymoon and never let you go."
As I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I couldn't help but wear a silly smile on my face, and my cheeks still had a red tint to them. I knew I was falling deeper for him with each passing moment.
"By the way, jaan, will you pick your own clothes or should I come in?" Aahan's voice interrupted my thoughts, making me realize that I hadn't even taken my clothes yet. As I opened the door, Aahan stood there with a smirk on his face, blocking my way as I tried to go towards the closet. I attempted to go from another side, but he blocked my way again. I huffed and looked at him, and he gave me a huge grin. "Hurry up and get ready. We have to go to the mall for our honeymoon shopping," he said, brushing his nose against mine. I closed my eyes as his breath fell on my cheeks, and suddenly he kissed me on my nose before saying, "Do you want to continue, or should we save the rest for our honeymoon?" His face was so close to mine, and I found myself staring at his lips. Just as we were about to kiss, I twisted his right ear, and he screamed in pain.
Are you trying to be too cheesy?" I asked him. He looked at me with a pouty face and whined, "Leave me, leave me." I couldn't help but smile at his childlike behavior and let go of his ear.
"What kind of wife are you? i was trying to be romantic, but you keep pulling my ears. That's not fair. change wife cahnge next-," he complained, but before he could finish, I twisted his other ear with more force.
"Change? Okay, wait. I'll make you change your mind," I said sternly as I twisted his ear harder. "No, no,you are always permanent, just kidding," he quickly corrected himself, pleading for me to let go.
After I released his ear, I walked towards my closet, still keeping an eye on him.
"Let's go now," I said, coming out of the closet, all dressed for the mall. However, Aahan was sitting on the bed with his laptop on his lap, completely engrossed in it. I couldn't help but stare at him in disbelief. I mean, he had a beautiful wife standing right in front of him, yet he was busy with his laptop. He finally looked up at me and checked me out from head to toe before closing his laptop.
"Aab bola ga ye Srishti, tum kitni sundar ho bol bhi abb. Phir mr reply krung-" I was lost in thought, thinking that he hadn't even noticed my presence, when he suddenly got up and left the room. I heard his voice from the other room, and I realized that he had already moved on from our little moment.
"Are we going or not?" he replied, sounding a bit rude.
Finally, we were at the mall, and I was trying on different outfits while Aahan sat on a sofa with his laptop, seemingly uninterested. I twirled around in a cute dress, perfect for the chilly Canadian April weather with or without a jacket.
"Hey, Aahan, what do you think of this?" I asked, hoping for his opinion. But his attention was fully absorbed by Ms. laptop or whatever it was. I reminded myself that it was just an object and couldn't be called "Mr." or "Ms."
"Aahan, what are you doing? Look at me and tell me-," I said, a bit frustrated. He responded in a simple tone.
"Buy it," Aahan replied, his attention still fixed on his laptop. Frustrated, I decided to get back at him and asked the shop assistant to show me more dresses. After two hours of shopping, I was finally done and had a proud smile on my face. I went over to Aahan, who was still on his laptop, and said, "Let's go, I'm done." He just hummed in response and closed his laptop. He handed it to his bodyguard and gave me a questioning look. Knowing what he was thinking, I put on an overly sweet smile and said, "Oh, they're all on the cash counter. They're packing and making the bill." Without a word, he took my hand and started to walk out of the shop. As we left without paying, the shop assistant asked, "Ma'am, your bill and your clothes?"
"My bodyguard will pay for it," he said, passing his card to his bodyguard. I felt disappointed as my plan to irritate him had failed. I had added some unnecessary clothes to the pile, some of which I didn't even know what they were. The assistant had a big pile of clothes in her hand.
"Let's have lunch here, and then we can head home to pack. We have to stay there for a whole week. I am busy with some work today, but after that, I'll be all yours," he said, pulling me towards him. I was happy that he was doing all of this for me, even though I was trying to irritate him.
"Okay, my treat for today. What do you want to eat?" I said with a smile, looking at him. I didn't expect him to suddenly kiss me on the cheek, leaving me shocked by his boldness. But only I knew how much I was jumping inside.
"Jaan lets go will be late" Aahan shouted from outside the room as i was packing his clothes and i am all done to go
"coming," i said and go towards the door "Aahan all bags are packed," I said to him and he hummed while calling someone on the phone
"yes come and delivered our all bags to the airport before we arrive there" As he was talking I go towards the hall where all family members were present
"Ahem, so we have our couple here," Bhabhi said playfully, which made me blush. They didn't say more as Abhi was there.
After we said our goodbyes to the entire family, we headed towards the car and arrived at the airport where the Oberoi personal jet was already waiting.
After we boarded the plane and received instructions from the pilot, our journey began. However, my husband was still working on his laptop. He held one of my hands while continuously typing with the other.
"Aahan, take some rest. I know you're doing all of this so that you can be free on our honeymoon, but please take some rest," I said to him. In response, he looked at me with a smile and said, "It's okay, just a little more is left. After this, I will be free and all yours," he said the last line with a wink which made me shake my head at him and his tactics.
"You go and have some sleep," he said to me, but I shook my head while saying that I was not sleepy.
After some more talk, he went back to his laptop without realizing that I had dozed off on his shoulder. Eventually, I just heard a chuckle and someone rubbing my cheek.
After some time, I woke up from my nap and found myself still resting on Aahan's shoulder. He was working on his laptop, but his hand was holding mine. I yawned and stretched, "How long was I sleeping?"
"A good three hours," he replied, smiling at me. "I didn't want to disturb your beauty sleep, so I let you rest."
I looked around and saw that the plane was still flying, "Are we there yet?"
"Not yet, we still have a few hours to go," he said, leaning closer to me.
I smiled and leaned my head on his shoulder again, "Good, I can sleep some more."
Aahan chuckled and wrapped his arm around me, "You really love your sleep, don't you?"
"Yes, and you love your work," I replied, teasing him.
He rolled his eyes playfully, "What can I say, I'm a workaholic."
"then I might be a sleepaholic," I said, mimicking his eye-rolling gestures. He looked at me, amused, and pinched my cheeks like I was a mischievous child.
"Okay, go back to sleep then, little sleepaholic," he chuckled.
I pouted in mock offense, "Hey, I'll have you know that sleeping is a very important hobby. It requires skill and dedication!"
He laughed, "I'm sure it does. You should start training for the Sleep Olympics."
"The what now?" I giggled.
"The Sleep Olympics. You know, where athletes compete in various sleep-related events like mattress jumping, pillow fighting, and snore-singing."
I burst out laughing, "You're ridiculous!"
He grinned, "I know, but you love me anyway."
I snuggled into his shoulder, "Yeah, I do. Now let me get back to my training." And with that, I closed my eyes and drifted off into dreamland, ready to take on any sleep-related challenge that came my way.
