Chapter 32
Mr. Neal, Mrs. Neal’s Gone With The Money
Chapter 32
âIsnât it?â Joshua said with a painful frown, still radiating a cold aura.
âEven the worst person on earth wouldnât say something like that.â Cynthia was furious and felt that he
was superficial. âWhy should I feel inferior for your mistakes? Without Jayleen, I would only live better.â
âGo ahead and give it a try.â Joshua was irate too and spoke without thinking twice, âLetâs see who else
would be willing to give you so much in a divorce settlement.â
âCynthia, we need to know our place. I admit youâre outstanding, but thereâs no shortage of outstanding
people in the world,â Joshua continued.
âBusiness people are most concerned with their interests, and there will be a prenuptial agreement
before the marriage. Once you divorce them, you wonât get a penny,â Joshua warned.
After punching him, Cynthiaâs heart was a little calmer. âAre you
done?â
âThe Yates family is not your backing, and you are not Shirley Yates,â Joshua said.
âI donât need you to remind me. I didnât get married to get a divorce settlement,â Cynthia said in a
serious manner.
Joshua was stunned.
âIt doesnât matter if thereâs a prenuptial agreement. All I want is someone who loves and cherishes me,
someone to build a happy home together.â Cynthia continued, and her last remaining bit of patience
had disappeared, âDonât use your life and character to judge others. Not everyone is a scumbag like
you.â
After saying this, Cynthia left without waiting for his response.
Joshua remained in a daze for a long time, his mind filled with Cynthiaâs words.
She said all she wanted was someone who loved and cherished her.
A huge sense of uneasiness rose in Joshuaâs heart, as if something had left his life forever and would
never return.
âMr. Nealâ¦â Yoel tentatively called out, unable to express his emotions.
Mr. Neal had a fight with Mrs. Neal, and Mrs. Neal even hit Mr. Neal.
Sigh.
Joshua remained quiet. He opened the car door and got in, leaning back in his seat with his eyes
closed. His hair falling over his forehead made him look more desolate than ever.
The atmosphere inside the car was heavy and tense.
As Joshua did not say where to go, Yoel drove around aimlessly.
After some time, Joshua opened his eyes, and his obsidian eyes were unreadable.
âYoel.â
âYes, Mr. Neal.â
âDo you think sheâs right?â Joshua asked.
âWellâ¦â
Could he really say yes?
âIf she doesnât care about money, why did she ask for so much when we filed for divorce?â Joshua felt
as if his surroundings had turned colder. It sounded like he was trying to convince himself. âWhat she
says sounds noble, but in reality, itâs all the same.â
Yoel hesitated, but he thought he needed to speak what was on his mind.
âI donât think Mrs. Neal is that kind of person.â
âSheâs really good at manipulating people. Even you fell for it.â Joshuaâs tone was cold, and his
impression of Cynthia grew worse.
Yoel was nervous, but he remained calm and analyzed the situation.
âAccording to our countryâs law, the postâmarital property belongs to both husband and wife, so itâs
normal for Mrs. Neal to ask for half.â
He did not dare to say that even the second young master thought what Mrs. Neal did was right.
âI didnât ask for anything from her.â
âThatâs because you didnât want it.â
Joshua suddenly scolded, âYoel!â
âMr. Neal, let me say something you may not want to hear.â Yoel bit the bullet and continued, not
wanting Joshua to have a twisted moral compass, âYou had an affair first, and Mrs. Neal was already
kind enough not to kick you out of the house.â
Joshua asked, âWhen did I have an affair?â
Yoel kept a straight face and did not dare to answer.
Joshua became angrier.
