Chapter 102 One and Only

Inside the 26th floor of the Davison Group office.

Kate sat beside Eric, gently holding his hand. She looked at him with unwavering determination and. said, “No, I won’t use the design draft from three years ago.”

Miles paused, and his eyes lit up as he looked at Kate, He asked, “Mrs. Davison, are you suggesting you’ll draw a new design?”

Kate nodded. She picked up Eric’s phone and glanced at the curious designers around her. A smile spread across her face as she said, “Weren’t you all curious about my design? Here, take a look.”

She unlocked Eric’s phone, hesitated for just a moment at the lock screen password, then entered her birthday.

The phone was unlocked, and the design draft appeared before everyone.

The designers immediately crowded around, their eyes fixed on the draft. At first glance, they were all astonished by its brilliance.

Clearly, Kate was far from being just a pretty face. She was every bit as talented as the designer Miles had claimed.

One of the designers, feeling a mix of shame and admiration, stepped forward. “I’m sorry, Mrs. Davison. I shouldn’t have doubted your abilities if I hadn’t seen them. If you’re leading this project, I’m on board.”

After the first person spoke up, the others quickly followed. ‘Mrs. Davison, I apologise for not stopping them earlier. I’m ready to work on this project with you!”

All the designers were voicing their support. Maia also chimed in as the head of the design department, “Mrs. Davison is indeed more suited to lead this project than I am. With your talent, I’m confident our designs will be a huge success.

“Absolutely!”

Before Kate could respond, Miles spoke up proudly. “Did you forget about me? Any product I design is bound to be a hit! But with Mrs. Davison joining us, ill be phenomenal.”

Kate blushed at all of their compliments.

She calmly took back the phone and deleted the design draft in front of everyone.

“Oh! Why delete it?!”

Miles was stunned and cried out in dismay. He exclaimed, “Such a brilliant design! Aren’t you going to finish it and put it into production?”

Kate’s face remained serene. She turned to Eric and spoke earnestly, “That design was from three years ago, and it brings back awful memories.

She squeezed Eric’s hand a bit tighter and gave him a radiant smile. Kate said, “Ric, give me a few months. I’ll create a unique piece just for the two of us, okay?”

Eric’s heart was already trembling from Kate’s heartfelt words. Her smile made him feel as though his heart would melt.

He gazed at her deeply, and the darkness in his eyes intensified.

Eric wanted nothing more than to pull her into his arms and shower her with his overwhelming love. Yet he held back his feelings, controlling his emotions.

Finally, he spoke softly, “Alright.”

Then, he added with a hoarse voice, “I’ll wait for that day to arrive.
