Indian short stories

Jo pyar aankhon se nahi, dil se hota hai, uska rang kabhi nahi udta. Zindagi mein sabse khubsurat cheez woh hai jo humne kabhi dekha nahi, lekin dil se mehsoos kiya hai. Chhupi hui jazbaat zyada gehre hote hain, kyunki unhe bayaan karne ki zaroorat nahi hoti.

■

Randhir and Kahani arrived at a big, mall. Kahani looked around, clearly awestruck by the place.

"This mall is huge! I thought we were going to some small shop. This looks really expensive."

Randhir smiled at her words. "This is our mall. Take whatever you like. Don't worry about the money."

"No, Randhir. I don't want to buy clothes from such an expensive place. Let's go somewhere simple." Kahani stopped and hesitated.

Randhir gently placed his hand on hers. "Why do you worry about such small things? For you, this is nothing."

"Mujhe aadat nahi hai, Randhir. Itni badi jagah par shopping karna...

(I'm not used to this, Randhir. Shopping in such a big place...)

"Kahani, I'm here to make take care of you, and whatever you need, you'll get."

"But... this all feels strange to me. I don't want to get used to such things."

Randhir holded her hand. "Strange? Why?"

Kahani softly said. "Randhir..."

Randhir interrupted, with a smile. "Just understand that I am doing all this for you is a small thing for me. Now come on, let's see which dress you like."

Kahani finally smiled and they both walk into the store, hand in hand.

■

Randhir and Kahani were shopping when suddenly a girl appeared and hugged Randhir tightly. "Randhir! It's been so long! I can't believe I'm seeing you!"

Kahani, confused, stood there watching. Randhir gently broke the hug, clearly a bit awkward. "Uh, Kritika... you here?)

He looked at Kahani, noticing her confusion, and quickly decided to clarify. "Kahani, this is Kritika... my ex-girlfriend.)

Kahani's eyes widened in suprise. "Oh... nice to meet you."

Kritika, unaware of the awkwardness, smiled warmly at Kahani. "Nice to meet you. You both... together?"

Randhir quickly stepped in. "Yes, we're... shopping. Kahani is very special to me.:

Kritika got confused by his words. "Special?".

He gently pulled Kahani closer to him and said. "She is my fiancé".

Kritika eyes widened in surprise. "Congratulations Randhir, I am so happy for you."

They talked for a while and she waved goodbye and left the mall. Randhir turned to Kahani, trying to shift the focus back to their shopping.

Randhir smiled at kahani. "Let's focus on shopping now. I've picked out a lehenga for you."

He led Kahani to a section of the store where a beautiful lehenga was displayed. The fabric and intricate design caught Kahani's eye.

Randhir handed her the lehenga. "This lehenga is perfect for you. Go and try it on."

Kahani took the lehenga with a smile and headed towards the fitting room. She was excited to see how it looked on her. Randhir waited outside, his gaze occasionally drifting towards the fitting room.

Kahani went in to try on the lehenga. As she admired herself in the mirror, she heard the faint sound of the door opening. Before she could react, Randhir stepped inside the room with a playful smile.

"Wow, you look so beautiful that I don't want to leave this place."

Kahani adjusted the lehenga, feeling Randhir's gaze on her. "Randhir, what are you doing? This is a bit weird here."

Randhir approached her slowly. "Your beauty has mesmerized me. I just want to spend time with you."

He gently placed his hands on her shoulders, leaning in closer. Kahani can feel her heartbeat quickening as Randhir's presence became more intimate.

Kahani got nervous. "Randhir, this isn't right..."

Randhir, sensing her hesitation, stopped and looked into her eyes.

"I just want to enjoy this moment with you. Being with you feels wonderful."

Kahani, took a deep breath. She could sense Randhir's affection yet she was trying to balance her own comfort.

"I understand your feelings, but this time and place isn't right for this."

Randhir stepped back, respecting her boundaries, and nodded in agreement.

"Okay. You should do whatever feels comfortable for you."

As Kahani adjusted the lehenga in the fitting room, while randhir's gaze remained on her. Unable to resist the moment, he slowly leaned in, closing the distance between them. Before Kahani could fully react, Randhir gently kissed her on the lips.

Kahani's eyes widened in surprise. The softness of the kiss was unexpected. She felt a rush of shyness and warmth, her cheeks flushing as she pulled away slightly.

Kahani whispered, hiding her face."This is my first kiss..."

Randhir smiled and kissed her forehead. Just then he noticed the intricate knots and ties of the outfit and began to carefully tie them for her. His touch was gentle, and he took his time.

"Your beauty makes this lehenga shy. Without you, this lehenga feels incomplete." Randhir said as he tied the knots.

Kahani felt her cheeks flush deeply as Randhir's words reached her.

"You look so lovely that words can't do justice. Even this lehenga can't hide your beauty."

Randhir chuckled softly and gently finished tying the lehenga, giving her a smile.

Kahani looked at him. As Randhir completed the final adjustments, he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead.

■

After their tender moment in the fitting room, Kahani and Randhir emerged from the fitting room. Randhir carried the gift-wrapped lehenga, and Kahani followed him. They approached the counter where Randhir took care of the payment.

Randhir to the cashier, handing over his card. "Please process the payment for this lehenga."

The cashier nodded and quickly completed the transaction. Randhir thanked her, and Kahani offered a polite smile before they left the store.

As they walked to the car, Randhir opened the door for Kahani. "Let's go home now."

Kahani got into the car, and Randhir followed, sliding into the driver's seat. He started the engine, and they began their drive.

Randhir glanced at her with a smile while driving. "How did you find the shopping? And what about the lehenga?"

"I loved everything."

As they drove, Randhir's phone continued to ring incessantly with calls from his PA. Despite the constant interruptions, Randhir remained focused on the road, choosing not to answer.

He pulled over to the side of the road, his irritation evident. With a sharp sigh, he answered the call from his PA.

"What do you want? Why are you calling so many times? Don't you know how busy I am?"

Kahani, sitting beside him, flinched at the harsh tone in Randhir's voice. She could sense the tension and was visibly scared by his sudden outburst. Randhir, after yelling at his PA, realized his reaction and took a deep breath.

Randhir tone softened, ending the call. "I'll call later. I'll explain everything to you later."

He hung up the phone and turned to Kahani, noticing her fearful expression. He reached out and hugged her gently, his anger replaced with concern.

"Kahani, please forgive me. I reacted like this because of work stress."

Kahani, still a bit shaken, accepted his hug and tried to calm down.

"It's okay, Randhir. I understand. What is it about? Is it about ranvijay?".

Randhir ran his fingers through his hair. "Yes, I mean our wedding is in few days and I still haven't heard from my brother. He don't even know I am getting married. I mean which younger brother will be like this, who has not idea that his family needs him and his elder brother getting married."

Kahani squeezed his hand. "It's ok Dhir, everything will be alright. You don't take all this tension."

After listening to her, Randhir held her close, taking a few moments to compose himself before starting the car again.

andhir drove Kahani to her home, he parked the car and turned to her with a warm smile.

"Let's go, I'll head back now. Did you have a good day?"

Kahani looked at him, a bit hesitant, and then smiled. "Wait, come inside. Meet my parents and go."

Randhir nodded and followed her into the house. As they entered, Kahani's parents welcomed Randhir.

"Randhir, it's so nice to see you again. How are the wedding preparations going for both of you?"

"Everything is going well aunty. "

Kahani's parents then noticed the lehenga in the gift wrap that Randhir had bought. They turned to Kahani with curiosity.

"What is in the gift wrap?" Her dad asked.

"Dad look what dhir did. I said I don't want to but he brought me this expensive lehenga."

"This lehenga looks quite expensive. Randhir, why did you spend so much?" Her mom asked.

Randhir looked at them, his expression sincere. "I like Kahani very much, and money doesn't matter to me. I want her happiness to be the top priority in my life."

■

Randhir thanked them, and after spending some time with Kahani's family, he said goodbyes to them and came out.

As Randhir was about to leave, Kahani came outside to say her goodbyes. He stopped and turned to her with a warm smile.

"Goodbye, Randhir. Thank you for everything today."

Randhir reached out and gently pulled her closer. He pressed a tender kiss on her cheek and gave her a reassuring hug before stepping back to his car.

"Soon, I'll see you on our wedding day as Randhir Kahani Oberoi."
