chapter 33

             VANYA'S POVMayur blindfolded me and held my hand and took me to a place and we stopped. He opened the blindfold, I was shocked and happy at the same time... All my childhood pics,school, college, my teenage pics, the pics which I had only shown to my parents,  every single pic was there in that beautiful collage. I was dumbstruck looking at all the photos. Each photo bought fresh memories. I had happy tears in my eyes. Mayur saw that and he wiped my tears. I hugged him and said Thank you. Swetha :" Enough of your romance, all are waiting, first cut the cake."We go at the center, where cake is kept. I blow the candle first and cut the cake then feed it to Mayur. Mayur : "Happy Birthday, sweetheart😘"Vanya : "Thank you, my prince Charming". He does the action of falling down by listening to my words. I laugh at his reaction.  Then I feed cake to  all our family members. Mom takes the cake and cuts it into pieces and offers it to others. Divya with her husband come and wished me happy birthday. She also gave me a nice pendant as gift. I liked it very much. Then Preeti, (the sales girl in the mall) also wished me and we talked very much. Only one friend of Mayur didn't arrive Dr. Karthik who is a neurosurgeon and Preeti's  husband. He was busy in operation theater and didn't get time to come here. I made friends with Preeti and Divya and Reena also became friendly with them. Now we are a gang of 4 girls😁😁. All are married except Reena. I wish she marries soon . While we 4 were talking, Mayur and Ashish also came towards us and joined us.Mayur :" Preeti, where is your husband nowadays?" Preeti : "He is here only, but has no time. He doesn't even spend time with me also."Mayur : "Hmm, ok. Sweetheart, mom is calling you". Vanya : "Ok, You all continue talking". I leave and mom asked me to taste the dishes she made, to check whether something is missing in it. I taste all dishes and I must say everything is very tasty. Then after that Mom calls everyone for having dinner. We all sit and have dinner. After dinner, Divya and Preeti left for their homes, Ashish goes to his apartment and then we all go to our rooms to sleep. Mayur :" I wanted to give you something". Vanya : "Another gift, show me." Mayur :" Hmmm, here it is."I open the gift and I get shocked, it's a ticket to Matheran for day after tomorrow. Wait a minute, the ticket is for all our families. Vanya : "Thank you, for this. We all will surely enjoy there." Mayur : "Hmm, I know that's why I booked tickets for families also. We will inform them tomorrow, now let's sleep." He gives me a forehead kiss and we both go to sleep. In the morning.... I wake up early and prepare breakfast for everyone. They all come down one by one and I signal Mayur to tell them about the trip. Mayur : "I want to tell something to all of you."Dinesh : "Yes son, tell". Mayur : "I and Vanya have decided that we all will be going to a family trip to Matheran day after tomorrow. We all will be together and will enjoy very much."Dinesh : "Sorry son, I cannot come as I have only taken 2 days holiday and I have to go to there as patients are waiting". Geetha : "Same reason, molle. We are catching the evening flight today only. Sorry dear."Harish :" We have a flight at tomorrow early morning only. Sorry, you both can enjoy and can spend time with each other". Vanya : "If you all would have accompanied us for the trip, then we all would have enjoyed. Mayur, can we go some other time?"Harish :" No molle, please don't cancel your plans for us. You both will enjoy, please go." Vanya : "Ok, dad. I will cancel your tickets then."They all go to their room and start packing their luggages. I tell Mayur to cancel their tickets and I go to the kitchen to prepare lunch. At evening, Mayur and I drop my parents at the airport and next morning his parents also leave. Now we both are only there. We had packed our bags yesterday and we decided to go by bus to Matheran. I like train and bus travelling the most as it gives beautiful view from the window. We reach Matheran by evening and   we book a hotel room for us. We freshen up and stay in the hotel only as we were tired of travelling. It's very cold here in January. I love winter season very much. I have also packed sweater for us and we wear it and sleep. Next morning.. It's very cold here , now the temperature is 14°C now. Mayur is still sleeping and I want to go out now.
