After she woke up from her dream, she could only remember the general details and main character’s names. She couldn’t remember their looks at all.

This is also one of the reasons why she didn’t feel anything towards her future pitiful life as well as the lack of love she feels towards her daughter, little bun.

Not long after she came out of the bathroom, the power car arrived at the station.

While it was crowded, she squeezed out of the station and borrowed a worker’s phone by the station, calling her cell.

Xiao Ke answered the phone and asked nervously, “Sister Qi, where are you? I already got off the station. Quickly come out.”

“Someone recognized me and they want to have a talk with me. I’m terrified and I don’t dare to go back right now.” Lin Yueqi hid behind a pillar and patted her chest, saying, “We’ll meet at Exit 2.”

“Ok.” Xiao Ke reminded her, “Remember to leave the station when there are fewer people. It won’t end well if someone recognizes you.”

“I know, I know.”

15 minutes later, Lin Yueqi and Xiao Ke met up at the exit and the two hailed a taxi home.

When her paternal aunt, Lin Yu, found out that Lin Yueqi was coming home today, she was at home cooking.

Lin Yu was 43 years old today. In order to take care of Lin Yueqi, she had missed too many opportunities and even now, she was still unmarried. After Lin Yueqi became pregnant in college, she didn’t force her to abort her child, but instead, respected her decision.

Lin Yueqi had deferred from her studies for nearly 7 months and after giving birth to her daughter, little bun, she returned back to school for her studies.

Lin Yueqi was pretty lucky. The second year after she returned to school, she received the role of the third female side lead within a TV play and became popular ever since.

Although Lin Yueqi bought her paternal aunt, Lin Yu, a house, Lin Yu still lived within the old home in Qingshan’s town.

She could plant some crops, raise some chickens and livestocks, as well as admiring Yumen’s ancient culture. The environment was nice and she lived a relaxing lifestyle. She didn’t want to live in the county town or the city. Lin Yu was thinking that after little bun starts elementary school, she could move to the county town by then.

Lin Yu was cutting up vegetables in the kitchen while the little bun was carrying a basket, walking in from outside and carrying it to Lin Yu. She banged her little head against Lin Yu’s thigh and said softly, “Grandma, how are the vegetables little bun picked up?”

While chopping the vegetables, Lin Yu glanced at the neat rows of cilantro in the little girl’s basket.

The little girl washed the cilantro cleanly and then she carefully plucked off the tip, leaving only the greenest cilantro which was sitting in the little girl’s basket neatly.

Lin Yu bent down to take the basket from the little girl, rubbing her head and praising, “Our little bun is very capable. Ok, grandma doesn’t need your help now. You can go out and play.”

“Grandma, do you really not need little bun’s help?” The little girl blinked her large doey eyes and glanced sincerely at the woman.

“No, grandma can do these things.” Lin Yu glanced at the little girl standing properly in front of her, smiling and asking, “Does little bun want to ask grandma something?”

The little bun was treated nicely and fed properly, so she was a bit chubby. She wore the handmade cotton-padded jacket and stood in front of the adult, feeling shy. She placed her chubby hands on her stomach and while thinking, she patted her stomach out of habit. “Mhm…little bun wants to ask when mummy will be coming back.”

“This little girl… I knew it.” Lin Yu smiled and said, “Your mummy is coming back today and from the looks of it, she’ll be back soon. You can go out and play for a while.”

Hearing that her mummy was coming back, the little girl turned around and ran. While running, her braided pigtails bounced, making her look adorable.

The little girl just ran out when Lin Yu received a call.

While Lin Yueqi and Xiao Ke were hailing a taxi, they encountered some small trouble, so they would be back later. She had Lin Yu eat first and for her not to wait for them.

Although she said that, after hanging up, Lin Yu placed the cooked dishes in the steamer baskets.

Little bun ran out of the room and Big Huang who was lying by the door started to run behind her, like her little shadow.

The little girl stepped out of the house and sat on the doorsteps while the dog followed suit.

Big Huang was the typical guard dog in villages. When he sat down, he was still a bit taller than the little girl.

The little girl gazed at the end of the road and extended her chubby arms to wrap her arms around the yellow dog, leaning half her body against the dog’s head.
