Chapter 7
Miss Shen is Actually A Bigshot in Witchcraft
At half past six, Shen Chun took out her phone to check the news.
The car accident in the north of the city had already been reported. Because the scene was too gory, the photos had been pixelated. However, through some clues, Shen Chun still recognized that the person in the car accident wasnât Fu Shi.
This person was quite smart. At least, he listened to her.
Shen Chun had just heaved a sigh of relief when she received a call from the hospital.
âHello, Miss Shen!â The doctor sounded anxious. âDid you take your brother away?â
She expected an affirmative answer from Shen Chun, but she was disappointed.
âNo, did something happen to my brother?â
âIâm sorry!â The doctor was so anxious that he was about to cry. âShen Chi went missing. Weâve searched all the corners, but we havenât found any trace of him.â
âHow can this be?!â Shen Chunâs expression changed. âIâll go over immediately.â
âOkay, okay.â Before hanging up, the doctor said hurriedly, âWeâll continue searching.â
Shen Chun changed her clothes, hailed a taxi, and immediately rushed to the hospital.
On the day Mr. and Mrs. Shen passed away, Shen Chi was hospitalized because of a sudden infection. Coupled with gastrointestinal problems, he had been staying in the hospital up until now. After occupying the original Hostâs body, Shen Chun went to the hospital a few times, but Shen Chi was sleeping almost every time, so the two of them didnât interact much.
She had planned to visit the little fellow again today and pick him up, but she didnât expect him to disappear from the hospital.
When they arrived at the hospital, the doctor in charge of Shen Chi explained the situation to Shen Chun, âAn hour ago, we brought Little Chi out to play with a ball. He took the initiative to go to the corner to pick up the ball. I felt that there was no danger, so I let him go, but he didnât come back even after half an hour.â
âWe checked the hospitalâs surveillance footage and confirmed that he didnât appear anywhere else, nor was he picked up by you or your uncle. Itâs as if he disappeared from the face of the earth.â
The doctor couldnât believe it, but that was the truth.
Shen Chun could only go to the place where Shen Chi had disappeared to investigate first. It was just an ordinary corner. There were no traps or hidden holes, but Shen Chun keenly sensed that a wisp of sinister energy had been left on the plant in the corner.
Evil spirits were causing trouble again.
Seeing Shen Chunâs serious expression, the doctor thought that she was angry and quickly explained, âMiss Shen, donât worry. Our hospital will definitely find Little Chi.â With that, he muttered, âI donât know whatâs going on recently, but there have been more than ten missing children.â
âHow many exactly?â
It took a few seconds for the doctor to realize what Shen Chun was asking. He replied, âThere are eleven missing children.â
Shen Chi was the twelfth. Twelve childrenâs souls were enough to nourish the evil spirit. Today was the 15th, and the blood moon provided more power to the evil spirits.
At this moment, Shen Chi was probably doomed.
Shen Chun tried to calculate Shen Chiâs exact location, but the hexagram was covered by fog and couldnât be seen clearly.
The evil spiritâs capabilities exceeded her expectations. Thinking of this, Shen Chun didnât dare to delay things. She took out a compass from her backpack and bit her index finger. Then, she smeared the blood on the compass. This body was blood-related to Shen Chi. This couldnât be changed by anything.
The compass was activated by an invisible red line and spun quickly. In the end, it pointed east.
After searching through the Hostâs memories, Shen Chun remembered that it was a factory that had been abandoned because of ghosts. At first, the factory attracted countless ghostbusters, but after that group of people fell seriously ill, it became a haunted place that no one dared to go to.
If nothing else happened, Shen Chi was probably in the abandoned factory.
She found an excuse and said, âI remember a place he often goes to whenever he feels upset. Iâll go over and take a look first. Iâll have to trouble you to deal with things over here.â
âItâs no trouble,â the doctor said quickly. âItâs the least we can do.â
Shen Chun left in a hurry. When she walked out of the hospital, she bumped into a woman. The woman fell to the ground, but her eyes were fixed on Shen Chun.
âHead Nurse.â Someone had already come over to help the woman up, but the temperature on her body was so cold that she shivered. âAre you alright? Why are you so cold?â
The head nurse didnât answer. She continued to stare at Shen Chun infatuatedly and her pupils dilated as she said in entrancement, âYou smell so good.â
