Chapter 42

39. Unclear love.

FORCED BRIDE. (Darkened Brides Book Series #2)

ROOHI.

"So everyone was approaching me for their reasons?" I asked him as I didn't want to believe him once. Didn't want to believe anything he said. But I just can't bring myself to do it.

Because everything he said made sense. Every word was fitting well with the things I have endured.

How can I??  How can I not believe in anything?

"Yes," he said as now he took a step towards me and I hastily walked backward stopping him from my hands.

"Stay away from me. " I said to him as he stopped at his spot. "Who knows what you are aiming for now?" I taunted him. As I tried to grip myself further. "Do you feel guilty?" I asked him and stared at him with my death glare.

"Yes!! Maybe that's why I am confessing to you."

Confess.

This was what he wanted to confess to me.

But what's the point of regretting things later if you committed them knowing it would hurt with intentions?

Done wrong with intentions are not mistakes. They are sins.

"Then you are going to pay me back," I said and suddenly the door opened and the nurse came in again looking at me with surprise after finding Vanish here.

"What are you doing here, sir? You are not allowed to meet the patient," she said as she walked towards me. "Ma'am please consider the hospital's position. It's an attempted murder you can't be reckless. Anyone can be an assassin." she spoke out of concern as she stood between me and Vanish. This nurse is way too much nice to me.

This is not very well digestive.

Maybe it's just the after-effect of facing betrayal by everyone I trusted.

But no. The way she has been constantly nudging the attack, and her loud behavior is very uncommon for grasping.

So I grabbed her neck from behind and I choked her. "Who is behind you?" I asked her as she suffered under me. And I was having a nice hold on her. "Who are you working with Veer? Rudram? " I asked her as she tapped on my hand in defeat and she left me.

"I'm getting paid a lump sum to make sure you are fine," she said as she looked at Vanish and he looked at me.

"Aren't you the daughters of Rathod?" she asked me as she was surprised herself.

And I was astounded. Weren't they still trying to find me? How did they get a grip on me so soon?

"Aren't you Roohi Shekhawat? Daughter of Anil Shekhawat?" she asked me as I was surprised at how much she knows.

But I decided to try a little more and remove a few more things from her.

"I'm Ruby Manann. " I told her as she nodded.

"I know. Ruby Manann. But you are Roohi Shekhawat. Your grandpa's man found you after you were admitted to the hospital. As Roohi Shekhawat. "

"I'm admitted to the hospital as Roohi Shekhawat?" I asked her in surprise.

"Yes, your brother admitted you here."

Ain't I registered dead?

"He did it on purpose so that they can find you. But they were quicker than expected." Vanish said as he was explaining it.

"You leave," the nurse said to him and he looked at me bidding farewell with his eyes and he started to leave. But before leaving I called him and he stopped and turned to me.

"Make sure my real family will come to meet me tomorrow," I  said and he left.

I don't know if my step was tight and trusting someone again will be right or wrong but I don't want to fall back alone again.  And they need me too.

Can't I look for them too?

I asked myself in guilt as the nurse read my reaction.

"Don't worry I met some of them. They don't look like bad people " she said and left me alone too.

I went to my bed area and I stared at my empty bed. For a while unable to make out what was running inside me.

Like it was vacant.

I was empty from inside it with nothing.

My eyes were fixed on the bed but at the same time, I was looking at other things even I don't know about.

My mind was thinking about something but I don't even know. What it was about.

I felt like my entire body was working but I was dead inside.

And suddenly tears started to roll down from my eyes. I wiped them but they kept pouring down more and more and suddenly I sat on the floor. My eyes poured down tears for unknown reasons.

And I couldn't control them.

Sobbing and weeping in pain I was feeling unknowingly.

And then a word escaped my mouth I don't ask to speak about. In between my whimpers.

"Rudram... "
