Chapter 23: An Unusual Mission
Butcher Demon
I am confused.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The people around me are also confused and lost.
Iâm standing in the yard of a house under the blue sky, in a daze.
The aliens around me are watching me from a distance, wondering what is going on.
This chaotic situation is caused by the devil officer in front of me.
The one heâs talking to is the perverted fox woman from the other day. Sheâs the woman who was so excited to see the elf girl being humiliated behind the mirror.
And behind her is the peeing Fox girl from the other day.
This house seemed to be the fox girlâs home. Itâs a very large and magnificent house. My body was about to be handed over to them by the devil officers.
Orders poured into my mind.
âEscort these two.
Devil officer, are you insane?
I donât know what kind of situation youâre in, but you know that your bodyguards can actually be the most dangerous.
Iâve seen something like this before. It was an order to protect a VIP on his way to another alien city with his bodyguards.
On that mission, besides me, there was a dedicated Butcher Officer called the Lasher, and many other alien soldiers.
Not so today. There seemed to be guards scattered around the house, but they didnât look like the kind of force that could hold back the Butcher if it went out of control.
Iâm fully armed, and they seem to be serious about having me escort them. Iâm wearing a butcher apron over my naked body, a butcher bag, and a butcher knife.
Iâm a pervert.
I feel embarrassed when I look at myself objectively under the sun.
When the devil officer and the perverted fox woman finished chatting, a man with similar fox ears, who had been waiting behind her, received the control device. He was dressed like a butler.
Maybe this is the house where the fox family lives.
The demon officer clapped me on the shoulder one last time and then left the house laughing. Like, âGood luck,â right?
I donât get it at all. what is going on?
âGet in the house.
Huhâ¦â¦.
I sighed and followed the girls into the house.
In the meantime, the fox girl was stealing glances at me from afar with a look of utter fear on her face.
Yes, yes. This is the right reaction.
In fact, the devil officerâs guards, who were watching from afar, looked at me like they wereâ¦â¦worried. The fox-eared butler of the house and the guards stationed around the house all look uncomfortable.
In fact, Iâm worried too.
No matter how you look at it, this perverted fox woman has a higher status.
If I do anything inappropriate, I might be punished. Iâm nervous.
In such a situation, only the perverted fox woman is looking at me closely and tapping me on the shoulder â Oi, donât touch my butt. Itâs embarrassing to be touched and looked at in broad daylight.
This perverted fox woman is also quite skilled, Iâm sure. She is not afraid of the Butcher. She seems to have a relaxed manner in front of me.
But I think youâre overconfident. The Butcher is a monster, and itâs not as naive as you think.
I wonder how many more of these monsters there are in this city. Eventually, Iâll kill all the aliens in this city, but first I need to figure out all the obstacles.
The perverted fox woman takes me on a tour of the house.
The entrance, hall, living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Thereâs no point in explaining such difficult things to a butcher. I wonder if sheâs trying to make me escort her voluntarily.
â¦â¦ Is this, by any chance, a test?
Is the devil officer and the perverted fox woman testing me?
Itâs true that to those two, I happen to be showing a bit of cleverness.
In front of the demon officer, I was able to detect and expose ASSPINT disguise. In front of the fox lady, I showed my wisdom by ingeniously humiliating the elf girl.
Am I becoming a useful butcher because of that?
If so, Iâll be very motivated.
My mind is still a normal human being, so there is still a childish desire for recognition in the corners of my mind. If I can exceed their expectations, I might get better treatment.Maybe Iâll get to eat meat every day?Maybe theyâll let me walk around freely?Maybe Iâll get paid for my part-time job by the Minotaur manager?Perhaps Iâll be allowed to live in a room with privacy!
Well, I donât think I can.
The Butcher is a bioweapon. Heâs not even considered one of them in the first place. Thereâs no way theyâre going to treat me like that.
Iâm more like a disposable Expendable, a slave than a domestic animal.
Suddenly, my favorite Miss came to mind. I wondered if she was in the same situation as me. Who the hell is that girl?
Oh no, I get so excited thinking about her. It would be too embarrassing to have a tent on my butcher apron in a place with so many people.
While I was lost in such fantasies, before I knew it I was being taken into a room on the third floor. Excuse me for disturbing you.
It was right after that that the Fox girl in the room started jumping her shoulders in surprise. The book in her hand fell with a thud, and her tail swelled instantly.
The perverted fox woman talked with the fox girl for a bit and then walked out of the room, leaving me alone.
The only ones left in the room were me and the fox girl.
What?? What?!?
That woman doesnât care what happens to the fox girlâ¦â¦.? Isnât that too daring?
Would you normally leave the Butcher alone with your relative? Or is the fox girl not your relative? Is this fox girl actually my offering? What do you mean?
Well, look at her. Look at that poor little fox.
Poor thing is about to start crying. Sheâs curled up like a rabbit in the corner of the room, shivering and squirming. Itâs so tormenting and tantalizing. I want to cover you from the back and stroke your head and forcibly ejaculate inside youâ¦â¦.
Iâm sorry.
My orders were to escort them. She was the target of the escort. If I accidentally attacked her here, the mission would fail.
The bait in front of me looks good enough that I donât mind it. But Iâm also genuinely curious to see how my treatment will change after I complete this mission.
This is an ordeal. You canât take revenge if you canât get through this simple ordeal. Be patient. Iâm a professional, right?
To distract myself, I walked over to the window and looked out.
We were on the third floor, one floor higher than the other buildings, so I could get a good look at the city.
The city was covered with hard walls.
The cityscape was different from the Fort 88 I knew, it had a more oriental feel to it. The aliens have taken the original structure of Fort 89 and modified it to resemble their homeland.
I could also see the facility where my prison was located. Itâs quite a big building.
There was a bird flying in the sky. I wondered what it was. Maybe it was a black kite. Maybe a kestrel. This area is surrounded by forest.
The sky was blue and high, with white clouds floating in the air and birds flying in the air. The sky was the same as I knew it to be.
If you only look at the sky, it doesnât matter if youâre human or alien, this is a beautiful planet.
I wish I had wings. I wish I could throw everything away and fly far away.
As the scenery outside drains the poison out of me, I suddenly saw a figure out of the corner of my eye.
He looked like an ordinary alien who happened to be passing by the mansion, but his movements, atmosphere, and aura he created were very similar to the ones I knew.
The story that this mansion is being targeted is true.
And itâs a human thatâs targeting itâ¦
So, that devil officer. The other day discovered that I could see through the human disguise, so I was selected for this escort mission.
Thatâs right.
When I was human, I was a member of the Fortâs scouting unit called Fox Team, and I was an old veteran who had been traveling to the front lines for years.
So I knew right away when I saw him move. That was the movement of a human soldier. And an assassinâs. Could it be the ?I donât think itâs Foxâs people, do you?
There are several specialized teams in the Fortâs force, and the Fox teamâs main mission is reconnaissance, scouting, and sniping to penetrate deep into the front lines. The Tango team is a small unit that eliminates specific targets.
The Fort also has an for the main defense and a for perimeter defense. Thereâs the , which handles heavy artillery and firearms, and then thereâs the , which deals counter blows to the aliens, the , which is an engineering unit, and the , which provides support firepower across the board.
Basically, theyâre divided up by specialty. We canât afford to take the time to educate them, so we used on-the-job training (OJT) to turn new recruits into specialized professionals.
But of course, that can be a hindrance to operations. Thatâs why sometimes large operational teams are organized in mixed formations, or special units are selected from each team. Tango is treated as a special unit.
Could it be that the massive human invasion the other day was a distraction to help Tango infiltrate?
If so, it makes sense. The human side of the battle on the day of my visit was very futile. I couldnât see their purpose.
Maybe the AASPINT that I killed behind the butcher shop was working as part of that strategy?
I see I see. So this fox clan is in a very high position. If they could be worth sacrificing so much to kill them, they would have enough strategic value to turn the tide of the war.
How does the human side know the inner workings of the aliens?
â¦â¦Abigail, I guess.
Maybe she was a prior infiltrator and has been doing intelligence work in this city all along.
Then she. Abigail. She might know alien letters or words. Otherwise, she wouldnât know what the aliens are up to.
Could Abigail be an interpreter, by any chance?
I am doing very well today. Iâve got a lot of work to do, but I think I might be able to talk to the aliens through her.
Iâll poke around next time I see her. Iâll use my butcherâs lance and give it a thump.
â¦â¦ My thought process is becoming more and more like that of a dirty old man. I donât like this â¦â¦.
I canât help it. Iâve been forced to do all of that from morning till night. Itâs not my fault. My circumstances are bad. Itâs societyâs fault. Itâs my job. Oh, itâs an occupational disease. I demand workerâs compensation.
As I gazed out the window at the sky, thinking about such trivial things for the first time in a long time, I heard a noise in the room.
