Chapter 855 When Will She Stop?

Caroline gazed in astonishment at Alex’s bandaged hand and turned to Lucas. “What happened to Alex?”

Lucas sighed heavily. “He crushed a wine glass in his hand but still managed to download the software into Azure’s phone.”

Caroline stood up abruptly. “Is it done for sure?”

“Alex said so,” replied Lucas.

Kenny was bewildered. “What are you talking about? Why don’t I understand anything?”

“It’s about Paige.” Caroline set down her fork and headed upstairs.

Liora had nearly fallen asleep when Alex entered the room, startling her awake.

With a frown, Evan glared at Alex and asked, “Are you trying to get yourself killed?”

Alex glanced guiltily at Liora and Evan. “I’m sorry, Lia and Evan, but I have something important to do now!

Tyler and Axel opened their eyes, sitting upright. Tyler rubbed his eyes and asked, “Was the download successful?”

Alex nodded. “Yes. When will you be able to export the data?”

“There’s too much data to export. Please provide an accurate time frame, Uncle Alex.”

Alex shared the date and time of their meeting with Paige the other day.

Tyler sat in front of his laptop, pondered briefly, and said, “She must have planned it before she framed Godmother.”

Axel agreed. “Let’s run a search on phone numbers based on the date given by Uncle Alex and push it two weeks earlier.”

Tyler nodded and began typing.

Evan watched Tyler work before his gaze landed on Alex’s right hand. “What happened to your hand?”

Alex said, “I accidentally crushed a glass in my hand. It’s no biggie.”

Evan remarked, “I didn’t expect you to be a masochist.”

Alex clarified, “I’m not, but I managed to download the software to the phone because of this.”

“Azure didn’t notice anything, huh?” Evan asked.

“No,” replied Alex. “Lucas was quick–witted enough to send Azure to look for a first aid kit and bought me some time.”

Caroline walked into the room and asked Liora, who was lying in Evan’s arms, “Why are you up?”

Evan explained, “He barged into the room and startled Lia. It’s fortunate that she is very sleepy.”

Caroline nodded, observing Tyler’s fast typing.

“Who has Daniella’s phone number? Read it to me,” Tyler requested.

Alex and Caroline turned to Evan, who read Daniella’s two phone numbers to Tyler.

Tyler stopped typing long after inputting the numbers, and rows of words appeared on the screen–the conversation between Daniella and Azure.

Alex’s expression shifted from shock to disappointment and then to rage as he read the conversation history.

Caroline frowned, thinking, ‘So Daniella and Azure are affiliated indeed! Moreover, it was Azure who approached Daniella first! Daniella gave her HIV–positive blood to Azure!‘

Alex clenched his fists tightly, his eyes filled with rage. “So Azure invited Paige out so she could harm her!

Caroline was overwhelmed by anger as well. Her body felt cold, and her eyes were bloodshot. “How many people is Daniella going to hurt before she stops?”
