Chapter 853 Don’t Want to Hear Her Name

Alex brought the USB drive and headed to Wild Sides with Lucas at night.

Lucas remarked on how Alex seemed like an old man who had experienced life’s hardships in just a few days. He couldn’t bear to see Alex’s stubble and expressed concern about Paige’s situation.

“Alex, I know Paige’s condition saddens you, but you can’t do this to yourself,” Lucas said, grabbing Alex’s arm.

Alex was mentally exhausted and gazed out the window blankly. “Don’t speak anymore.”

“No, you have to tell me what I should do after meeting Azure. I still find it hard to believe that Azure would actually do that to Paige,” Lucas insisted.

Still overwhelmed, Alex said, “It’s not just you. I don’t believe it either.”

Lucas sighed. “Tell me about your plan. Paige is a nice person, and I would like to help both of you.”

Alex hesitated. “I still don’t know what to do yet. Let’s play it by ear and check my text messages later.”

“Sure,” Lucas agreed.

The waiting staff led Alex and Lucas to their private room in Wild Sides before bringing in the wine.

Azure arrived in less than 10 minutes. She felt her heart ache to see the disheveled Alex on the sofa.

Azure wondered, ‘Is Paige so important to Alex? Or was he only interested in the child she was carrying?‘

Lucas noticed Azure and stood up to greet her, “You’re here, Fatty Azzie!”

Azure smiled. “Hello, Lucas.”

“Hehe, you’ve become more like a lady these days. You’re pretty, Fatty Azzie!” Lucas commented, checking her out, Azure smiled, glanced at Alex, and feigned cluelessness. “What’s going on with Alex?”

Lucas pretended to sigh. “What else can it be? He’s sad because he doesn’t have a girlfriend. Go and talk to him.”

Azure nodded and walked toward Alex. As she prepared to sit next to him, Alex looked up at her, staring with his brown, lonely eyes. “Azure, are all women the same?”

Confused, Azure replied, “I don’t understand what you’re talking about, Alex.”

“Forget it. There’s no point talking about it.” Alex sat upright and poured himself a glass of wine.

Azure was aware of the situation between Alex and Paige but pretended she didn’t. “Why isn’t Paige here, Alex?”

Alex felt his heart ache when Paige was mentioned. Clutching the glass tightly, he couldn’t imagine how tormented she was right now. ‘If this is all caused by Azure, I’m going to kill her for sure!‘

Alex glared at Azure and snapped, “Don’t talk to me about that bitch! I don’t want to hear her name!”

Azure trembled uncontrollably, seeing Alex lose his temper for the first time.

Lucas stepped in to mediate. “Fatty Azzie, don’t talk about that woman in Alex’s presence. She’s no good for him. Do you know that she has actually contracted AIDS and aborted her baby by lying to Alex that the baby has some sort of health condition?

Lucas expressed his dissatisfaction with Paige, “Tell me, isn’t she despicable? I told Alex not to be with a woman who frequents bars. Why would he fall for that kind of person when he can have such an amazing woman like you?”

Shocked, Azure countered, “Paige looks like a good girl, not like that kind of person at all.”

Lucas retorted, “How would I know-”
