Paige perked up at Azure’s comment, locking eyes with her. She casually asked, “How do you know Alex is so considerate?”

Paige chimed in. “Alex, why turn down Ms. Miller’s generosity? She invited us out to celebrate with us.

Rejecting her like this would be awkward.”

Paige gave Alex a meaningful look as if to say, “You must accept these gifts if you’re not hiding something!”

Not daring to oppose Paige, Alex accepted the presents from Azure and handed them to Paige. “Take a look, Paige.”
