Tyler thought for a moment. “I don’t fully understand how men and women relate, but I know that love means Mommy is happy and not crying because of you!”

Evan smiled at Tyler. “You’re right, but it’s normal for adults to have disagreements. Your mom and I sometimes misunderstand each other, but we won’t fight or have conflicts as long as we work things out slowly.”

Tyler asked, “So, you’re saying you and Mommy have resolved your disagreements?”

“More or less, I can make you a promise, Evan assured.

Tyler asked, “What’s the promise?”

Evan stated, “I’ll make your mom the happiest woman in the world if she agrees to be with me.”

Tyler looked at him. “Do you really mean it?”
