Chapter 547 Don’t Mention It “How can I do that, Grandpa? You might feel lonely if I don’t visit, Daniella said as she sat down beside Grayson, wrapping her arms around him.

“Uncle Thomas has been busy with work, and Aunt Greta is handling household matters. Yuliana seems to be dating someone, so she’s also occupied and hasn’t had time to visit you,” Daniella explained, letting out a sigh. “Grandpa, do people have to deal with loneliness as they grow older?”

Grayson’s expression gradually turned sour as he contemplated the lack of visits during his hospitalization.

“How many times have they actually come to see me?” he wondered aloud. “And where is your brother?

It’s been days since he last visited.”

Daniella raised her head, pretending to be surprised. “Don’t you know, Grandpa? A falling rock almost hit Caroline.”

Grayson was briefly stunned before anger flared in his voice. “Is he with that awful woman?”

Panicked, Daniella quickly covered her mouth. “I’m not sure, Grandpa. He might just be caught up with work.”

Grayson declared, “I’ll have someone track his whereabouts!”

Trying to calm him down, Daniella gently caressed Grayson’s back. Please, Grandpa, don’t get upset.

It’s my fault for making you angry with my words.”

Grayson held Daniella’s hand tightly. “Ella, I know you care about me the most in this family. Since these ungrateful people won’t visit me, they no langer deserve to stay in our family residence. I’ll remove them.”

A cunning glint sparkled in Daniella’s eyes. “Grandpa, this might infuriate Uncle Thomas. He’s been dedicated to managing the company, after all.”

“He’s an ungrateful brat! Ella, no more games. I’ll transfer you some shares, and you can help oversee the company as a shareholder,” Grayson declared.

“So this old geezer is finally willing to give me a piece of the family assets,” she thought, surprised that her provocation had paid off so easily.

An hour later, Grayson called Thomas and ordered him to leave the family residence. Shortly afterward, he arranged for an announcement to be made that Daniella would join the company as a shareholder.

When Thomas received these updates, he appeared composed. He went to the balcony and dialed Neil’s number.

As Neil answered the call, he asked, “Uncle Thomas, is this about Daniella?”

Sipping his coffee, Thomas replied, “Neil, let’s talk honestly. How many projects did you divert?”

Neil was taken aback. “So, you know about that?”

Thomas sighed. “You’re my sister’s child. I know you well.”

Neil admitted, “I’ve already shifted all the major projects, but the remaining smaller ones won’t sustain the Xander Group.”

“In that case, Daniella’s entry won’t have a significant impact,” Thomas observed with a bitter chuckle.

Neil asked anxiously. “Is Grandpa kicking you out?

“Yes, it seems that way. I didn’t expect this after all my years of work for him. He’s growing old and easily influenced,” Thomas replied.

Neil understood who had influenced Grayson. “I’ll be back tomorrow, Uncle Thomas. Don’t leave just yet!”

Thomas considered it for a moment. “Alright, come later. Carol is still in critical condition.”

Nell reassured him, “Someone is looking after her. Evan is here.

Thomas was slightly surprised. “Was Evan’s relationship with Caroline real?”

Neil disclosed, ‘All three of Caroline’s children are his. It’s only right for him to care for her now. Uncle Thomas, Carol hasn’t told Evan about the kids. Please don’t mention it to him.”
