Chapter 21 - Hospital (again !)

Sophie face also showed worry as Filip walked towards Sophie , she was terrified that because of stupid seizures she may be admitted into the hospital again . But this time she would have to face the fear of hospital again , without meg . Although when Filip got to her he said unfortunately you will have to be admitted but don't worry too much okay because its only into the Short Stay Ward again which means they won't keep you for more than 24 hours , that is unless you take another turn for the worse. Sophie said " yay at least its not a general or high observation ward , i don't mind short stay ward that's where i was when Eric took me into hospital and i was only kept for a few hours will it be like that this time " Filip replied hopefully it will be but don't stress because you'll give yourself a higher chance of a seizure , which means you won't get to go home "

Filip took Sophie up to the short stay ward and settled her in , he stayed with her for a few minutes until his pager went off "he said goodbye if i don't see you again , good luck for your future and your dream of being a paramedic , after this call ill pop in and see you again if your still here " , and before sophie could say anything in return he was out the door , and off to attend another patient.

After sophie sat alone for a few minutes a nurse walked in with a trolley with needles and stuff , sophie knew what this was , the blood station , she said dont worry i wont have to poke you with another needle , i can just draw blood from your iv if that's alright. Sophie said it was and the nurse began to draw out blood from Sophie's iv filling 9 test tubes, which were then labeled with sophie's details , ready to be sent off for testing , at this point a band was also put around sophie so that she could be identified  , the nurse then lefty sophies room and she was all alone again.

Her mind was occupied by thinking of Sean and ben , she thought of the future , well actually she thought a lot about both of them , she only stopped thinking about them when the doctor walked in the room half and hour later to examine Sophie , test her vitals , and pretty much see if she had suffered any long term damage due to her two seizures that she had that day . Luckily she hadn't although she wasn't all clear yet as her blood results had not came back yet . She spent the next while worrying , as the doctor couldn't tell her whether she would be fine or not .

While she was worrying she got a major fright , as Filip walked in , with a huge smile on his face, and immediately asked how sophie was , Sophie said she was fine even though she was nervous , Filip could pick up that something was not right and said no your not fine whats bothering you , im here to help you out and talk to you . Its just im worried that somethings wrong that i might not be able to return home tonight.... Filip asked her why She said " Because they canr clear that im fine till my blood test comes back " Filip said " im sure everything will be fine"

Moments later the doctor walked in as Filip and Sophie was talking , you could see that his face was frowning which also made sophie and Filip frown  . There was a moment of silence before the doctor broke the new which sophie was fearing , they wernt able to test her blood as unfortunately it had clotted , Sophie was Fithteen, and all she knew about was that a blood clot was the complication that killed her father, even though her fathers blood clot was a result of his cancer. Tears ran down Sophies face , Filip comforted her and reassured her that her next blood test may be fine , and that she could still be fine. Although this eased Sophies tears it didnt relieve her nerves.
