Sir Your Wife Already Signed the Divorce Paper
Chapter 52 She Would Never Be Happy
There was a long silence in the car.
âImogen, Iâm sorry⦠about your car accidentâ¦â Troy looked at Imogen with deep eyes.
âDidnât you already apologize? None of us would have thought that these fanatical fans still didnât forget that matter.â Imogen smiled faintly and comforted him.
Troy opened his mouth but didnât know what to say.
He realized she didnât know what had happened yesterday.
She thought it was because of the makeup last time.
As she couldnât see the words on the phone and computer clearly, he didnât have to worry that she would see the criticism and abuse of her on the Internet, but he was not happy at all.
âIâm sorry,â he said agam.
âItâs all over.â
They fell silent again.
After a while, Imogen asked, âWhat time is it?â
âTen past two.â
âHow long has it been? Why hasnât Sue come?â
âMaybe itâs not easy to take a taxi, or something happened on the road. Just wait for a while.â Troy lied to Imogen.
âAll right.â
After a long while, Imogen asked again, âWhy isnât Sue coming? Troy, call her again and ask where
she is.â
âOkay.â
Troy got out of the car, and a cool breeze blew over.
Sarah was such a kind girl but suffered all kinds of hardships because of him. She suffered from severe depression and attempted suicide many times.
He promised her he would be responsible for her and stay with her for the rest of his life.
He couldnât break his word.
He could only let Imogen down between Imogen and Sarah.
Without him, Imogen still had her grandparents and someone she liked. Maybe she would live a happier life after the divorce, but Sarah had nothing except him.
If Troy left Sarah again, she would definitely commit suicide.
He closed his eyes, turned around, and glanced at Imogen in the car. He took out his phone and called Sue. âSue, I forgot to bring my bag. Itâs on the table. Please take a taxi to the Courthouse as soon as possible. We will wait for you at the door.â
Seeing the bag on the table, Sue quickly replied, âOkay, Iâll be right there.â
Troy returned to the car and said to Imogen, âSue met a car accident when she came, so she had to take a detour. She should be arriving soon.â
âOkay.â
âImogen.â

âYes?â
âWill you marry him after we divorce?â
Imogen was silent for a while. âI
guess so.â
âGreat. Sorry, I have betrayed you. I wish you a happy life with your beloved.â Imogen suddenly felt bitter. She hurriedly looked away and said, âThanks.â
She would never be able to bless him and Sarah.
He didnât love her, so he could say those words to her.
What he didnât know was that she was about to divorce her beloved.
After the divorce, he would get his wish and marry another girl. He would become Sarahâs husband and spend the rest of their lives together.
Imogen would never be with Troy and would never be happy.
âMr. and Mrs. Marshall.â The driver went to the car and knocked on the window. âSue is here.â
âGot it.â Imogen and Troy each pushed the door and got out of the car.
Sue trotted forward and handed the bag to Troy. âSir, hereâs your bag.â
âThank you for bringing it over.â
Troy looked at Imogen and went to hold her hand. âLetâs go in. Watch the steps.â
âOkay.â
His hand was as big and warm as before, wrapping her hand tightly.
It reminded Imogen of winter when her hands were always icyâcold.
Every time she got off work with Imogen, he would hold her hand first and then put her hand in his pocket to keep it warm.
Bitterness welled up in Imogenâs heart, and she couldnât hold back the sorrow on her face. Three years ago, they walked side by side into the City Hall to get married.
Now, they came to the Courthouse to get divorced.
This was the last time he held her hand openly.
After today, they were no longer a couple.
They would live their own lives.
He would marry his beloved and live with her, and Imogen would leave the city to live a free life.
They would be strangers and would never disturb each other.
The driver and Sue stood still. They looked at each other and sighed in unison.
Imogen and Troy had walked into the Courthouse.
The staff walked toward them. Feeling they were a perfect match, she pointed to the window for -applying for marriage license. âPlease line up over there for marriage licenses. Remember to read
the instructions.â
âWeâre here to get a divorce,â Troy said.
The staff was stunned for a moment. She pointed to another window and said, âGo to queue over there.â
Troy held Imogenâs hand and walked over.
