Chapter 356.1 No Divorce I

When Imogen was lost, she received a cross–country call from Emily.

Imogen couldn’t help but think of the words heard in Frank’s office, which made Imogen’s heart gloomy.

“Hey, Mrs. Emily Marshall… what’s the matter?” Imogen asked impassively.

Emily laughed lightly, with a bit of arrogance in her tone. “You don’t even call me Aunt now?”

“If you have anything to say, just say it.” Imogen said calmly.

Imogen used to have some so–called respect for Emily, but now Imogen didn’t feel like maintaining it. If Emily weren’t Layla’s daughter, Imogen wouldn’t even answer the phone.

Emily snorted coldly, “Then let me tell you straight away. Stay away from Troy from now on! Don’t think that I don’t know you are hanging Troy on purpose! Like mother, like daughter, You’re just like your vixen mother who seduces men!”

Hearing that, Imogen stifled for a second and gritted her teeth. “What do you mean by this?” Emily had known Irene for a long time and had learned that Imogen was Irene’s daughter from the beginning. Was that why Emily didn’t like her?

“What do I mean? Irene is Yohan’s stepmother, do you know that? How on earth did she, a divorced woman with no background, hook Yohan’s father? Isn’t it just because of her coquettishness that she can serve well in bed?”

The veins on Imogen’s forehead bulged.

Irene’s ability to become Yohan’s stepmother was indeed fascinating.

When hearing Emily humiliate Irene like this, Imogen didn’t feel anything. But Emily comparing Imogen to Irene did irritate Imogen.

Imogen said sarcastically, “Even if I am good at it, I can’t do it without men’s participation. Besides, I heard your tone of voice being so disgusted with Irene Forbes. Could it be that you like Mr. Harrington but have never won her?”

“Shut up, you despicable bastard with no gentility at all! How dare you talk to me like that?“” Emily said ragefully.

“What? You won’t be irritated by what I said, will you?” Imogen smiled.

Hearing Imogen’s words, Emily calmed down instead and said sternly, “Imogen, Leo got your father killed. If there is still a little self–respect in your heart, you should leave Troy as soon as possible!

“Your father was all you had. Troy shares a deep brotherhood with Leo. Now he is working on overturning Leo’s case. Don’t you have any grudges in your heart?!”

Imogen didn’t say anything and hung up the phone directly.

Casually putting the phone on the table, Imogen leaned against the back of the sofa and raised her hand to pinch eyebrows.

Imogen was in a daze for a while, and suddenly remembered the thought she had had when she just got divorced–after settling her father’s matters, Imogen would leave here for another city or country.

Now, her father’s case had been closed, and there was only judgment awaiting, which Imogen couldn’t interfere with.

Imogen pursed her lips.

Imogen had this idea at first because of Troy’s entanglement. Now, Imogen didn’t hate the feeling of being with Troy, but Imogen had never thought about remarrying him.

There was one thing Emily said was quite right. Leo killed her father, so it would be difficult for Imogen and Troy to have no grudges anymore…

So, after the filming of this movie was completed, Imogen could try to live in other cities or countries, having a more free and relaxed life.

On the other side, Sarah was in the period of obtaining a guarantor and pending trial. Her daily life was constantly monitored.

Sarah’s career had been ruined, so she seldom goes out recently and only took occasional walks. Looking calm and peaceful, Sarah made it impossible for anyone to guess that she was a criminal suspect awaiting trial.

Sarah used to wear a hat and a mask when she went out. The neighbors were already used to it and said hello to her, “You’ve been walking all the way here today? That’s a lot of walk.”

“I have nothing to do. Just take a walk,” Sarah said with a smile.

“Then take your time, I’ll pass first.”

“Okay.”

Watching the neighbor walk away, Sarah stood still, and walked slowly to the shopping mall across

the street.

There was a children’s section where many kids played noisily.

Sarah looked around and caught the little boy in a kiddie ride.

Sarah’s eyes fell on the boy, and she walked over slowly.

The boy looked at Sarah warily and stood up from the kiddie ride.

Stopping in front of the boy, Sarah lowered her body, and only her eyes were exposed. “Wesley Marshall?” She said.

Wesley looked her over and asked cautiously, “Do you know me?”
