One Way

After the village chief left, he went to clean the wolf head and its blood.

The wolf head is larger than a dog's head.

It was scary so he threw it in the plastic bucket and went to the backyard to bury the wolf head.

He is not worried his brother will encounter the wolves. But their cows must be eaten. It is still better than him being eaten.

It's a pity but he doesn't feel remorseful.

It just makes him think that it wasn't peaceful so he has to be careful.

"Ah!" He forgot he had a gun on him.

"Seriously." He shakes his head.

When a crisis appears his first reaction is to escape than to fight cause he panics. Yet in those two choices, he still thinks with his logical mind that escaping is better for him.

After cleaning up, he wondered about the calling card. Since he is already here. He should make a call.

It was 9pm but most people in the city won't think it's too late.

The phone rang.

"Hello. Can I speak to Daniel Trenso? This is Xavier Austin."

"Are you an Austin from Q Province?"

"Yes. The village chief said that you were looking for us?"

"I know this might be a strange question but do you know Sadrea Kingdom?"

"Excuse me? I don't. Where is that?"

Xavier looks weirdly as his phone with a frown. Is this really the actor?

"Actually...it was not me who wanted to meet the Austin family in Q province. It was my great grandfather. I know this might be strange but he said that in the past, the Austin Family was their benefactor and was meaning to find them but a lot of things happened. World War 2. But lately he was feeling that he might soon die and being nostalgic."

"Excuse me but why are you sharing this with me?"

"It's an absurd thing but my grandfather said they come from another world and the only way to return was through the Austin family."

Xavier blinks.

"What?"

"Yes. I know I sound crazy but I want to do something for my grandfather. Will it be alright for you to meet him? Tell him your family lost the ability to bring someone back. I will pay you."

Silence.

"I know this is too strange of a request."

"The truth is I can fulfill his dying wish."

"Yes. I'll make sure to give you a handsome reward for this favor."

"..."

"Wait what did you say?"

"I can send your grandfather to the other world. But it's a one way ticket trip. I can't bring him back once he is there."

"Are you thinking I am easy to fool because I'm being kind to you?" The tone of the person in the other side becomes heavier.

"Then don't contact me anymore. Am I scared of you?" Xavier rolls his eyes.

"But since your great grandfather's wish is to return, then tell him what I said.

My ability is not allowed to bring him back. I can't send him back here again. So if he wants to go then he needs to resolve himself. And...I will be asking 5million cash."

"You must be an experienced scammer."

"Tell him.I don't know about the Sadrea Kingdom. My hometown is Su Village in Arsu Kingdom. But I will try to ask someone if they know Sadre."

"This is enough. Don't call me again!"

He presses the end button.

"Oh you will call me again. And I will be the one blocking you." He snorts thinking of his revenge later.

He had nothing else to do so he wanted to return back to the other side. His family must be very worried about him.

But he tried to make a door but nothing. He was sweating cold thinking the door power must be gone and he was trapped on the other side forever.

He was so scared that he almost cried. But he remembered to check the other door he created to put the water and electric connection. It was still there. The power is not gone.

So why can't he make more doors?

The only thing different is the wolf head.

It must be because of that.

So it means there is a consequence for bringing more than allowed from the other side.

"Stupid wolf!" He angrily said.

But what's done is done. He just went to his bed hoping his family would be too worried.

He sleeps in his bedroom grumbling about eating wolf meat next time.

Daniel was enraged about that Xavier scammer. He has a beautiful speaking voice yet he uses it to prey on others at their most vulnerable time!

"What is wrong?" The old lady smiles looking at Daniel.

"Great grandma." Daniel softens his expression.

He grew up with love and care for his family but if not for the love of his two great grandparents, he wouldn't be allowed to be an actor or do what he wanted. He really loves them.

Both of them are 100+ years old but they are still strong and sound minded.

But his grandfather said it was not long before he passed. He hates to admit that with all his health condition, they really might.

His grandfather hates to hear their parents say this.

They have 8 children and among them their grandfather is the most successful. His grandfather has 3 sons and his father is the youngest.

They often hear stories of their great grandparents about their world and their grandfather will roll his eyes.

All the family knows that once their great grandfather starts talking about their 'original' world, their grandfather will be angry so the two older generations stop talking about it.

But now that he felt it might be the time to pass. He hopes to return to his native land and be buried there along with his ancestors.

It causes a lot of arguments among the living siblings of their grandfather.

Nobody really believes in this other world so even if they allowed them to return, how?

"Great grandma...You know great grandpa insisting on returning to Sadrea..."

"Hmm.." she tried to conceal her sadness. Who doesn't want to return? She was young back then. Just 15 years old. It has been two years since he married her husband.

A traveling merchant with great ability. But the time was chaotic.

She already had two children at that time and they came to another country for trading when chaos blew up. In order to escape, they met a mysterious man. In exchange for all their silver, he said he can send them somewhere safe but they may never return.

At that time it was a matter of do or die.

For their kids, they gave up everything and agreed. When they open their eyes they are in a foreign country.

The man that helped them is not there but they told them where to find him if they want to trade with information later.

But they were sent to another country.

They tried to live their life starting for nothing. There are times that she wanted to end her life from so much hardship.

But her husband stays strong for her and her children. In the end they succeed in life and their children and their children become their real treasure.

"That man from Q Province...he said he can really send people back but they can't go back after sending them. It's a one way ticket and each travel is worth 5 million. He is so delusional."

She felt a jolt in her heart.

"He said he can send us but we can't return?"

It was almost the same as that man. He said he can only do one way service. But he can send them information later or if they want to exchange letters with their loved ones. But they can't return.

"Yes. He said he was from the Su Village of Arsu Kingdom."

His great grandma's eyes dilated and she lost consciousness.

Good thing Daniel was able to catch her.
