First Town

Gerald happily thank his family for helping him out.

All of them support him.

Then they all went and look at Harvey.

"Better save up for Second brother's wedding too." Xavier said grinning.

Harvey laughs.

"Sure. Sure. But more than me. I wish Cheska would get married soon too."

"......." Everyone looks at Cheska.

Cheska looks awAy.

"Don't involve me. I will grow old with Third brother, I will not suffer as long as he is alive."

She said.

"Actually, in the other side, a woman in her twenties are still young and rarely panicking on finding a parner in that age." Julius said.

"You know it is different here."

Layla pouts.

"Though I am also reluctant to send her away so soon. She is just started feeling pampered and able to eat and be happy.

I...." Layla sadly looks down.

Cheska scowls.

"I am alright."

"Why don't you tell them now?" Harvey asks.

Cheska's eyes dilated. She angrily scowl at Harvey.

Harvey smiles.

"Actually, Cheska is waiting for Dylan."

"Second brother!"

"Dylan?" Gerald is shocked. "You turn him down right?"

"Who is Dylan?" Xavier asks.

"Dylan went to war as a soldier. Before he left, he asks Cheska's hand in marriage. Matriarch didn't allow it because she is preparing Cheska to be her old relatives wife.

Cheska didn't accept Dylan's proposal on her own."

Gerald said.

Harvey looks at the embarrased Cheska.

"She actually followed him and told him she will wait for him how ever long. They exchange letters for two times already." Harvey said.

"Second brother you tattle tale!" Cheska angrily frowns

"What's wrong with that? Why do you want to hide it?" Xavier asks.

"I...Just dont like you all thinking I am waisting my youth waiting for someone who might not return or fulfill his promise." She sadly said.

Layla hugs her.

"We won't make fun of you or discourage you, you silly girl."

"Actually, we will if you are 30 and still waiting." Julius said.

He was elbowed by their mother.

Crying, Cheska hugs her mother and father.

"That leads up back to Second brother and third brother. It seems only you two doesn't have a partner."

Cheska said grinning.

Harvey scratches his head.

"Don't worry too much. I will be able to find a wife soon.. Right Third brother?" Harvey said.

Xavier lips twitch.

"Umm...Yeah.."

He really wants to tell them that he is gay but lost the chance.

Gerald walks to his side.

"You want to say something? Perhaps a secret girlfriend?" He grins.

"....no. of course not. I am not Cheska."

Cheska angrily snorts at them.

Next morning, with the  carriage that is rented by Gerald with the money he saved they off to go.

Actually buying cows is  the easiest thing for Xavier to do. He is in the farm where people has all the cows and goats he needs. He did bought a pair of goat for its milk excuse if he needed one and also it seems goat milking is his sister's dream so let her have that.

His father has a carabao and his farming tools. His machines that makes it easier to weed the farm land, his  machine that can plant rice in equal length just by guiding and walking along.

His father also ask him to buy him this cool machine that separates rice and stalks. Ofcourse the rice milling machine that he bought is one of them.

With all these stuff, he can feel their lives are going to be very easy.

Still it is hard work of course but not as hard work as doing it by hand!

"Not only tea. You also put sugar in the bottle." Gerald is the cow driver so he is sitting on the front.

Xavier yawns.

"I realize that sugar is actually expensive in this side. If selling salt is not that restricted, I will also sells them but it doesn't matter."

"The officials are strict about illegal salt selling and buying." Gerald said.

"No joke. In this place storing food will be troublesome without salt."

"It's not a problem for you though." Gerald said.

"Well, I am the family's magician." He said laughing.

They arrive in the town in an hour and half.

After telling they will be selling product, They only have to pay a small sum and they were let in.

The charming and witty Xavier gives the guards each of his bottled tea and sugar.

He told them how to use the tea.

The guards obviously like him after receiving something looking expensive.

Gerald smiles seeing his brother smiles happily.

They went to a side park the cow near them and place a white cloth.

Putting only 10 bottles. 2 bottle each of his 5 types of tea and 2 bottles of white sugar. They waited.

When a man went to ask what they are selling Xavier smiles and starts his business man talk.

He patiently and unhurriedly introduced his tea that came from apparently, 'a very far away'place.

After he told him how to make a proper loose tea brewing.

The man is excited to try all of Xavier's tea collection to serve for his master.

Tea is the normal drink that is offered in this side. So every household has a tea leaves of different types.

Xavier bought a few that is new and taste real well even being handled by amateurs.

He sets the price a bit higher than the common tea but not as exaggeratedly expensive like the tea for rich people.

"300 copper bits or 3 copper ingots for one bottle."

His tea are expensive.

And it can be used dozens of times.

He can set his tea like the most expensive tea leaves in this area for 5 silver per one bag that has only maybe 250grams like Xavier's bottle.

Still 3 coppers are pushing it.

They are just new in the market and doesn't know the ins and outs.

Xavier is not anxious but he is a bit awkward since he is not sure if he is selling price is good or bad.

His first customer is actually a butler of the rich young master that owns the famous restaurant.

He looks at the young man.

"Isn't it 50 copper bits?"

"Oh...You are talking about the tea on that store, Sir." Xavier said and smiles.

The man frowns.

He looks relucatant to part with the tea leaves that was introduced to him patiently.

"I will buy one bottle of each tea buy you better make sure it is worth the money or you will hear from me again!" The butler said.

Xavier smiles happily. He took a very cool looking paper bag with handles and put 5 bottles worth 250g each of tea leaves.

The butler looks at the fancy looking paper bag and test it's sturdiness.

"It won't give in as long as you don't hold it wrongly and make it wet. Also not put overweight things." Xavier chuckles.

"Why didn't you add one of those white things?" The butler asks.

"This is not tea, Sir. But it is also can be used in a tea preparation."

"What is that?"

"Sugar."

"I never seen as white as that sugar in my life." The butler said.

Xavier smiles politely.

"I actually don't advise putting sugar on the tea to taste the natural flavor of it but some people can't drink tea without them so I make sure to have one prepared in casw someone asks for a finely granuled sugar."

"May I taste it? I will buy it turns out not the thing I want." The butler insists.

Xavier opens the cup and pour some sugar in the man's hand.

"Sugar!"

Gerald smiles.

It is the same reaction as Harvey.
