Boasting

Amy and Ted are Arianne's parents. They are good people who are just worried about their own daughter, which the Austin family admires.

Gerald is uneasy and nervous as he  guide them to their home.

The house has a tall gate and walls.

It is big and splendid unlike how it looks like before.

Amy and Ted are holding each others hand feeling more confidence toward the Austin family.

Seeing that make Xavier relax a little.

When they enter the chicken coop on the side are very noticeable as it was halfly filled with living big chickens.

"Those are brought by my father and my third brother." Gerald said seeing his future in laws stop to stares.

Arianne's parents nod and look more pleasantly in good mood.

When they enter the room.

They saw all the Austin takes off their shoes and wear a fancy cotton slippers.

The three are embarrassed as they also took off their shoes.

Arianne doesn't bring a different slippers so she is embarassed.

Cheska attends to them and gives them slippers to wear.

They are amaze how beautiful are the house inside.

And it is not cold.

There are strange things and also the floor looks like wood but it is flat and shinny.

The chairs on the living room are made out of some kind of cotton fabric that is soft to touch and looks more comfortable than their bed.

Amy can't help but run her fingers through the sofa chair and she felt elated.

"The food is ready." Layla smiles.

"Those are brought by my husband and my third son." She brags.

She hasn't seen anyone in a long period of time so she is eager to talk and brag about her family.

This is also a way for Gerald and Arianne to be more relax.

Eating.

The two family starts eating.

Arianne and her parents are stunned.

They felt ashamed when they remember Arianne's father asking if they can make sure his daughter will not starve.

It seems with this family, she won't.

Gerald tends to his future in laws and his siblings tends to Arianne.

This is a plus in Arianne's parent's heart.

The lavish meal, Layla, obviously takes all the food in the fridge for this occassion.

The kids are off while the parents sits together to discuss.

"Seeing all of these, I am very ashamed with my remarks. I apologize." Ted said.

"It's fine. Though we have a lot of peculiar things. We don't bring any money. My son and I only have these things." Julius said.

"It is enough. I saw your field. It will be available next planting season and will be enough for the whole family. I am not short sighted person. With or without bride's price. I will be willing to marry my daughter." Ted said.

Julius smiles.

"Thank you. But my son wants to pay it. We can't let your daughter be shamed. Just give us a few weeks. My two sons will go to the town to sell the peculiar stuff we brought to earn the money."

"This...." Amy looks at his husband. "If you insists. All we want is our daughter to be happy. She loves your son. And instead of the future far away from us, it maybe better to give her to the man she loves and live more close to us."

She continued.

Layla smiles.

"We will treat her best. Our son also loves your daughter dearly."

While the parents are discussing the future. Cheska who lives on the left side of her parents room pull Arianne to her room.

They are relatively close in age and Cheska and Arianne are friendly to each other.

"Wow Cheska. Your room is so warm and it is beautiful. What are those things?"

Arianne sits on the pinks bed and stands up in a hurry.

"What's wrong?" Cheska asks.

"Its...its too soft. Can I sit on it? Will I get it dirty?"

Cheska chuckles.

"Silly you." She pulls her hand and they both fell in the bouncy bed.

Arianne is shock and she really touch the blanket like it is so precious.

Cheska also did that at first now she has the rights to laugh at Arianne.

"Brothers bed are not as soft as mine but it is huge and also soft.

It is also huge like mine."

"This....so huge. This window is beautiful. All the things in your room is beautiful." Arianne said admiring everything inside.

Cheska laughs.

She really wants to brag at her before she gets married in the family. Because soon she will also have all she had so it is time to brag and make her look forward to it.

"My mirror is very clear. Come I will show you."

She said as she jumps off the bed.

There are two mirror on her room. A mirror on her cabinet where all her jewelry, comb and head ornaments are located and a full length mirror with a curtain to hide it all the time.

"This is too pretty." Arianne looks at her face and frowns.

"I don't look pretty."

"Silly! You are very pretty." Cheska laughs and make her sit down.

They play combing hair of each other.

Time past so fast when you are having fun.

The family didn't stay for dinner even though Layla want to make them stay.

Arianne's parents need time to digest all that happened.

When they arrive in the village. The villagers want to gossips and asks them what the Austin's family want with them.

Ted is laughing so loud as he claims that his daughter is going to marry in the Austin's family.

Everyone thinks he's gone crazy to marry his precious daughter to Gerald.

But also, the people are aware that there are something going on in the Austin's household.

One of Gerald's cousin is also a suitor of Arianne.

He angrily let go of the flowers in his hand that is actually picked in the mountain and not that pretty since flowers are dying in the cold.

He went back home to complain to his mother and grandma.
