Chapter 44: Frustrated Dominic

“What is it, Stacey? I don’t have time for this.’ Dominic asked in a blank tone as soon as they were inside his office room, in the pack house. He didn’t look at her. He just wanted to get over this as soon as possible, “How? How could you do this to me? I didn’t expect this from you.” Stacey exclaimed while crying as she walked toward her and stood in front of him, forcing him to look at her.

“What are you talking about, Stacey?” He stepped away from her while still not looking at her and it frustrated her beyond limit. She went near him once and clutched his collar and made him look at him.

He didn’t like that at all but didn’t say anything at that moment.

“You really don’t know what I am talking about? Seriously? Now this is how we are going to do this?”

She shouted while shaking him by the collar. He gritted his teeth and tried to act calmly and patiently while dealing with this matter.

“Stacey, I don’t know what you are talking about…” He had just started to talk when she cut him off, angering him beyond limit but he still decided to act calmly while she looked at him in anger.

“No, I will tell you what you did! You played me! You used me! You betrayed me! You insulted me and made fun of me! You wronged me from so many angles! And you are still trying to ignore it and act like you don’t know anything? Is that how you plan to do this?!” She shouted while crying out loudly. She pushed him away as she cried in misery.

“Stacey, I don’t have time for this. I am really busy. We will talk about this later. I have to go.” Dominic tried to walk past her as he knew if he starts talking then, things would go more harshly than last night.

He didn’t want to ruin things more than it already was.

“No! You are not going anywhere! You are going to go to that bitch, right?! She snatched you from me, didn’t she?! You are mine and she stole you from me! I can’t let that happen. I won’t let that happen! Do you hear me?! I am not going to let you go!” She caught his hands once again and pulled him back to his previous place.

And at that time, he had enough and enough. He wasn’t going to tolerate it anymore. He snatched his hands away from her and looked at her in the eyes with intense anger and frustration.

“Now we can talk. Let’s start from the beginning, you are no one to stop me from going anywhere to her. And she didn’t snatch or stole me away from her because I was always her. Not yours. The moon goddess decided that for us. I agree I was an asshole to deny that for a long time I hated her and didn’t accept her as my mate but now I realised that what was doing was not good for my pack.” He said in a dead serious tone, making sure to let every words register into her mind before she talks stupid again.

But she wasn’t having any of it.

Dominic couldn’t believe himself. Was it even himself?

“Are you even hearing yourself?! You said I was your mate! You were going to mark me yesterday!

Yesterday was my big day. Then how did it all get ruined? How has everything changed? Because she snatched that away from me and like a bitch she snatched everything away from me!” Stacey shouted in equal anger when throwing everything off of the table. But he still didn’t say a word.

“Stacey, can you please leave? I am not in the right state of my mind. I need time to think about all this.

I would like to apologise for the humiliation you had to face for me yesterday. But I need time now. So, please leave…” He said with gritted teeth, reaching the best of his patience. But the stupid and desperate girl was acting really stubborn. She came back to stand close to him once again. She cupped his face, not letting him move away..

“Okay, okay… I understand… take your time. Take as much time as you want. But please don’t do this to me. I was supposed to be your mate. I am supposed to be your Luna and your pack’s Luna. Don’t take it all from me and give it to her. You had promised me that.” She cried miserably. He held her wrist and moved her away from him.

“Promises are made to be broken.” He said in a blank tone.

“So, you are breaking your promise?” She asked in shock and hurt.

“Understand something like that. You can’t be my mate or my Luna, that’s final. I don’t know about her.”

H e said in the same blank and harsh tone. Because he thought at least that might work and she would stay away from him and leave him alone.

“No! You can’t do that! We had a contract! You can’t just break it like that. You can’t!” She shouted while being a crying mess, she was trying her very best to do this.

“I can and I am breaking it.” He said while looking dead serious.

“How can you do that? How could you do that to me?” She cried while falling down on the floor.

“You have seriously started to irritate me, Stacey. I was trying to be polite with you out of guilt. But now you have left me with no other choice. You want to know how I can break the contract, right? You want to know how I could do this to you, right? Then listen.” He kneeled down in front of her and made her look at him while clutching her cheeks.

“The contract wasn’t bringing me any benefits. You dad is failing in keeping his promise and not doing his job. What he is doing is just asking for more and more time. If he thought I was going to give you such a big thing just like that, without any feedback from that side, that he is stupid to think that I am stupid. Because I am not that. And about you being the Luna of my pack, you are suitable for being that. I have seen the way you interact with my pack members. You should have thought about all this at that time when you misbehaved with them. Do you understand?” He snapped in a cruel tone, making her shocked.

“So, that bitch behaves well with your pack members and now you are going to make her Luna, is that it?” She snapped back as well in anger. She was unable to accept the fact that he was choosing a rogue above her.

“I am not answerable to you. Now leave before I call the security to drag you out, which I really don’t want to do.” He growled, while reaching the end of his patience and from the look of her face, it seemed like she understood what he was talking about. She knew that if she irritates him more, he actually won’t hesitate to do that. That will be a bit insulting once again.

“Fine. Fine.. I will not disturb you anymore but I have a request to make.” She sighed as she calmed down slowly. She got up from the floor with him and looked at him expectantly..

“What is it?” He asked with a frown.

“I want to stay in this pack for some more time. I just can’t drop the habit and dream suddenly. I need time. I will slowly make myself accept that I don’t belong here slowly. Until then, I want to stay here. For the sake of the past or the future we were supposed to share, can’t I at least demand for that?” She asked as a few drops of tears fell from her eyes.

He fell into deep thoughts thinking of her demands. He couldn’t decide if it was the right decision or not t o let her stay. It might create further problems for Athena and the pack members.

But how could he be so cruel toward her as well?! Ugh! He was in such a messed up situation. He didn’t like that at all. He just wanted to get out of this situation as soon as possible as he had a lot to do after this..

“Okay, fine. You can stay here. But I want you to make that happen as soon as possible. Let’s not make it awkward for everyone here. But till the time you are here, I will make sure no one troubles you. I promise you that.” He said in a blank tone and she nodded at him thankfully.

“I hope you will keep at least this promise.” She said in a blank tone before turning around to leave the room.

What a tragedy!

AN HOUR LATER “Dominic, we need to talk.” Nathan spoke up as soon as he barged inside the room without permission.

Justin followed behind him inside the room.

Dominic let out a groan as soon as he saw them. He just wanted to be at peace for a few hours. But no! It seemed next to impossible in his life!

“Now don’t start you two! I am already exhausted with the conversation I just had with Stacey.” He let out another groan.

“Well, just like that was important, it’s really important too. And we are not going to let you go until you tell us what the fuck is going on.” Nathan snapped before taking a seat in front of him. Justin followed that too and they both looked at Dominic with frowns.

“What do you mean?” Dominic asked with a frustrated sigh.

“Don’t act innocent in front of us! And tell us what’s going on?” Justin demanded, while losing his patience.

He remembered Stacey saying the same things to him. What the hell?!

“If you are here to ask me about Athena, then I am really not interested in talking at this moment.” He groaned while closing his eyes in exhaustion. He didn’t sleep at all last night and now all these from the morning.

He had limits as well!

“It’s not about Athena. It’s about your mate and our Luna. We have the right to know what’s going on.”

Nathan snapped with a frown.

“What do you want to know?” Dominic asked.

“Everything.” Justin instantly replied and he was a stupid to think that he would reply to his questions immediately.

“Everything what?” Dominic asked in a blank tone while looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

“Everything as in everything. Is Athena really your mate?” Nathan asked with a frown as he clearly remembers him telling Derrick that she was his mate and then at the hospital. Then why were there so many complications?

“Yes.” Dominic answered in a blank tone, as he didn’t find any reason to hide that more.

“When did you find out?” Justin asked the next question.

“Almost three years ago.” He yet again replied in a blank tone yet again while trying his best to not remember the past. On the other hand, Nathan and Justin looked at him confused, unable to understand what was going on in his head, “Why didn’t you tell any of us?” Nathan exclaimed in disbelief.

“Because I didn’t want to?” Dominic asked which sounded like a statement.

“Did you reject her?” Justin asked in disbelief.

“Yes.” He answered once again with no expression on his face. His attitude seemed to frustrate them beyond limit. “Why?!”

“Because she was a filthy little thief and a rogue.”

“You are insane, Dominic!”

“Just don’t push my buttons anymore. I really don’t want to talk about it. I need time to figure the fuck out. Just leave me alone for a few hours.” He exclaimed in anger and frustration. He couldn’t take them anymore.

“Okay, fine. But just know that Stacey is not going to be our Luna and we are not going to let you do anything to Athena. Now you can decide the rest.” Nathan demanded and Dominic had enough already. H. e once said that he wasn’t going to say anything else, it means, he wasn’t going to do that at any cost.

“Just leave me alone.” He snapped while standing up from his chair, ready to throw them out of his room.

“Okay, one last thing.” Nathan said with a sigh.

“What is it?” He asked with a frown.

“She is getting discharged today. Where is she going to live? With any of us or in the pack house?”

Nathan asked even though he already knew the answer.

“In my mansion.” Dominic answered immediately while glaring at him because he knew that he was teasing him.

“Are you going to be there to receive her?” Justin.

“No, I don’t want to go through another headache now. You guys can help her or whatever.” He answered i n an impatient tone.

“On which floor should we shift her?” Nathan asked another irritating question to frustrate him deliberately.

“Do whatever you want but just leave now. I just fucking want to be alone!” He growled out in anger and frustration.

“Okay, fine. You gave us liberty, don’t blame us later” Nathan said with a smirk before they both left the room.
