Chapter 328
Lord Protector Novel
Nancy was furious. âThe contract isnât simple. I stayed up a few nights and amended the terms many times before drafting the contract.â
Aaron ordered, âBring me the contract.â
Michael hurriedly handed it to him.
Aaron flipped through the contract patiently.
A heavy silence hung in the air.
After some time, Aaron suddenly declared excitedly, âThis is the official stamp of the Whiteridge project department! Nancy, they have signed the contract with you!â
Once he said that, a commotion immediately broke out within the crowd.
The Whiteridge project department had stamped on the contract.
It also meant that Nancy had gotten the project!
Michaelâs face paled when he recalled how he urged others to attack Nancy verbally.
This is so humiliating!
He could not believe it and ran over to confirm that fact.
âDamn, itâs the official stamp!â
Damn it, Nancy. Why are you so humble? You got the project but kept it a secret to humiliate me.
Nancyâs expression was as shocked as the crowd.
This is a huge misunderstanding.
She hurriedly explained, âGrandpa, this is a misunderstanding. The official stamp was forged.â
Forged!
Michael exclaimed, âHaha! I know you are not that capable to get the project. You used a forged stamp.
How dare you lie to Grandpa and the Hinton family?â
âIf the Whiteridge project department finds out you forged the stamp, what will you do?â
Nancy explained, âGrandpa, I didnât stamp this stamp. It was Zeke Williams, Lacey Hintonâs useless husband, whoâd messed around and stamped on it. It has nothing to do with me.â
Lacey Hintonâs useless husband?
Everyone turned to look at Zeke.
âWell, Iâve heard about him. He lives up to his reputation, huh?â
âI heard heâs a kept man and has a criminal record.â
âPfft, allowing someone like him to pay respects to our ancestors is disrespecting our ancestors!â
âI suggest that we chase him out now.â
Daniel and his family were rendered helpless and lowered their heads when they heard the criticisms hurled at them.
However, they had gotten used to being targeted by the Riverdale Hintons, so they were not really upset.
Zeke let out a deep sigh.
âIf I knew this would happen, I wouldnât have stamped on the contract. However, you shouldnât rejoice because Iâd tear the contract apart if you offend me and refuse to collaborate with you.â
Silence ensued.
Then, everyone broke out laughing.
âHahaha! Did I hear it correctly? Did he claim the official stamp was authentic?â
âThat means heâs the person-in-charge of the Whiteridge project department?â
âHaha! That kept man is so bold. How dare he pretend to be someone he isnât?â
âDoes he think he can do whatever he wants in front of the Riverdale Hintons because his wifeâs a CEO?â
âHa! His wife is nothing in front of us.â
Lacey was so ashamed she wanted to bury herself in a hole. âZeke Williams, stop it.â
Nancy was enraged, too. âShut up. No one asked you to talk. Youâre asking for humiliation. Why are you so thick-skinned?â
âIf you continue talking, Iâll ask Lacey to divorce you now.â
However, Aaron remained stoic as he waved his hands, signaling everyone to quiet down.
With a somber expression, he questioned, âZeke Williams, you said that this contract is valid?â
Zeke nodded. âYes, it is.â
Aaron replied, âI donât trust you. Why donât we make a bet?â
