stand–in. I won’t let you push me around, and I won’t listen to you.” Selena’s face turned pale instantly,

her fists clenched. Her lips trembled and her eyes reddened before she managed to speak.

“lan, is this how you see your mother? Everything I do is for your good

lan didn’t want to upset her any further, so he softened his tone. “You should go inside. I’m leaving.”

By the time he got back to the car, Jeff was already waiting for him. Seeing lan’s gloomy face in the

rearview mirror, he asked.: “Are we going back to the hotel now?”

lan had been staying in a hotel recently. He lifted his hand to rub his forehead, “Bring some gifts and

visit Neil in the hospital tomorrow.

“Is this Holden’s request?”

Yeah.”

Jeff didn’t say anything else and was about to drive to the hotel when he heard lan say, “Let’s go to

Rosewood Manor.”

He was worried about his grandpa’s health, who even kept mentioning Maja during dinner. He was
