Chapter 89
The Princess and the Paupers Novel Full Episode
After dinner, Phillip took Bella on a tour around, finally reaching the top floor for a distant view.
âNow itâs getting dark and you canât see the view very clearly. But during the day, you can see beautiful
flowers, streams, and distant mountains. Bella, you should definitely come and check it out when you
have the time.â Phillip said.
âSure.â Bella glanced at the time, her voice gentle, âItâs getting late, I should head back.
âDonât leave.â Phillip was a bit reluctant, âCan you stay a bit longer?â
âIâll come to see you next time.â Arabella said.
Seeing Bella about to leave, Phillip quickly signaled to his butler, Brodie, who immediately understood
his intentions and discreetly ordered the servants to prepare.
Just as Bella reached the first floor living room, led by Romeo, all the lights in the villa suddenly went
out.
âWhatâs going on?â Phillip feigned ignorance, âWhy is there a power outage all of a sudden?â
âWeird, weâve lived here for years and have never encountered this situation before! Let me go check
whatâs wrong. Hang tight, Iâll be right back.â Brodie said,
Brodie played dumb and quickly went downstairs.
âRomeo, take Bella to the sofa for a while.â Phillip then ordered a servant nearby, âGo find some
candles and emergency lights.â
âSir, didnât you collect some really nice emergency lights before?â A servant asked pretentiously.
âThatâs right, you guys go look for them.â Phillip also found an excuse to leave.
The living room was left with just Romeo and Bella.
Romeo smiled. The villa clearly had a backup generator. So even if the power went out, there wouldnât
be complete darkness. Was the old man deliberately making a chance for them to be alone?
Bella waited for a long time and checked the time, âItâs already half past eight. Letâs go.â
If she stayed too late, her parents would worry.
Romeo pulled her into his arms, âItâs still early. Stay with me a little longer.â
âIâve been with you for a long time already today.â Arabella said.
âJust a few hours, not enough.â Romeo held her even tighter, âI want to stay a little longer.â
Bella was speechless. Why was he so clingy?! He used to be so cold.
âLet go of me. What if grandpa sees.â Arabella said.
âHeâll be even happier if he sees us.â Romeo said.
Upstairs.
Brodie saw Phillip coming up and quickly whispered, âSir, over here!â
Phillip hurried over, squeezed next to him to look downstairs, âHowâs it going, any progress?â
âTheyâre just chatting, no substantial progress.â Brodie said.
âRomeo, you blockhead! Itâs so dark in the room, why isnât he kissing her?â Phillip thought for a
moment, âIs the atmosphere not romantic enough? Have someone take those petal lights and LED
candles down there.â
âAlright.â Brodie said.
Soon, the living room was decorated with beautiful petal lights and LED candles on the tables,
suddenly creating a romantic ambiance.
âHold on.â Arabella stopped a servant who was setting up candles, âTell my grandfather, Iâm ready to
leave.â
Faced with this sudden situation, the servant was a bit flustered, âMiss, the entire house is out of
power, could you wait a bit longer before leaving?â
âItâs already too late. I need to go.â Arabella said:
âBut, the front door is locked. You canât get out.â The servant said.
Arabella was puzzled at this.
âEach door is a special electronic smart door. If thereâs a power outage, the doors canât be opened.â
The servant said.
âDonât these doors have USB ports? You can just use a power bank to charge it.â Arabella offered a
solution.
