Chapter 36

"Did you know that we're the only couple from our friend group who hasn't gone skinny dipping here yet? And Connor did it with his ex, well then girlfriend, now ex" he whispers in my ear

"What are you trying to say, Mason?" I raise my eyebrows, daring him to say it again

"Well, it's kind of a tradition here. Wouldn't want to break that, now would we?" he smirks as he puts me down on the ground

Now

"We'll see" I wink and his smirk turns into a mischievous smile

"I'm not saying we're going to do it. I'm just saying that maybe, sometime. Not now though"

"I can live with that"

Lauren and Jade run towards us. Lauren has a waterproof speaker in her hand with the song Hot N cold – Katy Perry on.

"You, change your mind, like a girl, changes clothes" Jade sings

"Yeah you, PMS, like a b*tch, I would know" Lauren takes over, pointing to Jake in the process, who plasters a fake-shocked and offended look on his face, while placing his hand on his heart and the other on his forehead as he dramatically walks and sighs. I chuckle at his behavior before it's my turn to sing

"And you overthink, always speak cryptically, I should know, that you're no good for me" I sing

"Cause you're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no." The three of us sing together

"You're in then you're out, you're up then you're down"

"You're wrong when it's right, it's black and it's white"

"We fight, we break up, we kiss, we make up"

"Cover your ears, boys!" Mason screams as he walks away from us with his hands over his ears

"You, you don't really want to stay, no, you, but you don't really want to go-o" we continue, but I can't help but laugh at Mason

"You're hot then you're cold, you're yes then you're no"

"You're in then you're out"

"You're up then you're down"

"Are our ears save?" Tyler asks pleadingly

"Aw, boohoo, party poopers"

"Let's go swim" Jade and Connor say at the same time, which results in them looking at each other in surprise and then bursting out in laughter

We all take our bags out of the car, which Jayden has moved to the grass field in front of the pools.

Jade walks to me and smiles mischievously.

"So is it true what I heard?"

"Depends on what you heard"

"You're going skinny dipping with Mason?"

"No! I said maybe some other time" I groan

"Hmm, you better keep up the tradition" she winks

"Argh"

"You don't have to, if you don't want to do it. You know, it's your own choice. No one will blame you if you don't want to do it" she smiles

"It's not that I don't want to do it, just not yet. We haven't been together for long, I recall a certain accident this morning that had written 'embarrassing' all over it. I'm just not ready for it" I smile softly

"That's okay" she smiles and gives me a reassuring squeeze in my shoulder.

"Jake?" I ask, as realization hits me

"What is it, Little A?" he smiles as he looks at me

"The water in the pool, it's clean right? And not filled with germs and certain other things of people here" I ask and I narrow my eyes at Jade, who chuckles

"Don't worry, the cleaner cleaned everything last night. I asked him to clean it three times and he did" he winks at Jade and Jayden

"Pfew"

I pull my dress over my head and jump around in shock when I feel two hands on my hips.

"Jake! For goodness sake!" I laugh as I try to hit him

He runs away and I run after him, still laughing.

"Get back here, you ásshole"

"Hell no, I don't have a death wish"

"Should have thought of that earlier" I shout, the smile still on my face

We start running around Mason, who looks at us in amusement.

"Come here, you coward"

"Never"

"Hey, that's so unfair! Let go of me, Mason!" I yell and hit my fists on his bare back

Yes, Mason has lifted me up again, but not bridal style or something. No, he decided that it would be a good idea to pick me up by the waist and throw me over his shoulder, my head facing his back.

"I'm just making sure you don't kill anyone today"

"If you don't let me go, you're going to be the one I kill"

"Throw her in the water, Mason" Tyler shouts

"Hey, watch it, traitor" I try to look at Tyler, which kind of fails

I see Mason's feet walk to the pool.

"Hell no! Mason, I will literally kill you if you throw me in"

"Your threats don't scare me, Little A"

"Well, they should!"

Mason stops at the edge of the pool and I see the water under me. You know, it may be a sunny day, but I bet the water is freezing.

"Mason, put me down"

"Okay" he moves me from his shoulder and lifts me bridal style

"Have I told you, that you look stunning?" He smiles and I blush

"Thanks" I whisper softly

The moment is of short duration unfortunately, because someone decides to act like he's going to drop me in the water, so I start screaming.

"It's just water, Lex" Jayden shouts from the grass field

"Oh, shut up Jay!"

Mason smirks and then he jumps in with me.

The cold water surrounds me and I swim to the surface as soon as Mason has let me go.

"YOU MOTHERF*CKER" I shout and push his head down

Unfortunately for me, he grabs my waist and pulls me down with him. I struggle to take his hands of me, which makes him turn me around and wrap his arms around me. He slowly goes to the surface and I take a deep breath once I'm above the water.

"Son of a double b*tch" I mumble

"Other cusswords you would like to use? Now is your chance" he smirks as he lets me go

"Shut up, potato pig"

He raises his eyebrows and smiles at the long ago made cussword.

I splash water in his face, but soon am being splashed by water myself. The rest jumps in and I duck underwater.

"Thanks for the warning" I roll my eyes when the splashing has stopped

Jayden swims towards me and splashes water in my face. My reaction? Splashing water with my feet in his face. Because we're just mature like that.

"Leave your brother alone, Lex" Mason teases me

"Hey! I wasn't the one who started!" I whine

"I know"

"Ow! What the hell?"

I burst out in laughter. Behind me I hear our friends chuckle and Mason looks a bit grumpy.

He looks at me and narrows his eyes, which makes me laugh even more.

"Don't look at me" I say as I try to stop laughing, but fail majorly

"Who is the ásshole who decided that throwing this ball in my face would be a good plan?" He swims 'around' himself, looking at everyone and even though they're struggling to keep a straight face, they all shake their heads and look at him in amusement

When his back is facing me, I wrap my arms around his neck and my legs around his waist.

He turns around in shock, but seeing that I'm already on his back, he turns me around as well. He looks at me from the corner of his eyes and smirks.

Baaaddd plan. Didn't think it through. Told you, I'm more of a dory person.

I try to get of him, but he already has his hands on my thighs. Before I can do anything else, I find myself under the water. Not only under the water, but also upside freaking down.

I poke him in his back, but he doesn't react one bit.

Plan aborted. New plan. Hitting his back.

Nope. Nothing.

Plan C. Tickling.

Finally, he turns us around and gets back to the surface. He doesn't let go of my thighs, but he does move me so I'm on his chest and he's facing me. Don't ask me how he did that, because I have no clue.

"You think that's going to work with me?"

How come, he still looks so handsome? It's just unfair.

My mind doesn't register what he's saying, I just keep staring at his handsome face. He smirks, but I ignore the words I'm not even processing.

His soft, plump lips take all my attention and I don't waste another moment.

I feel him smirk satisfied against my lips.

"Yep, I'm official too single" Connor groans from behind me

I look at him and then at the other couples, who are either making out or splashing each other with water.

I look back at Mason, who's now smirking even more at me. He turns me around again, and this time I'm with my back against his chest and one of his arms is wrapped around my waist.

"Hey. No! You can't use my tactics against me!" I squeal in his arms as he tickles me.

"Watch me" he whispers in my ear

"I can't when you're behind me dumbass!" I laugh, trying to get his arm of me.

"Why are you so strong? I never see you train or work out" I manage to get out

"I work out and train in the mornings, when you're still sleeping"

"Now you're just making me feel bad about myself" I manage to speak between my laughs

"I can't help that you are lazy as hell"

"I'm not lazy! Remember when I ran into you at the park?"

"No?"

"Don't lie"

"I'm not?"

"Jake and Tyler, back me up here"

"She's right bro"

"Yeah, but how long ago was that? Months? It's the last time I've seen you sport"

"Connor is in my gym class"

"True, she's always jumping around excitedly"

"Hmm, prove it to me" Mason smirks

"Why should I have to prove anything to you?" I ask, raising my eyebrows

"Why not?"

"Well, for one, you're my boyfriend-"

"Really? I forgot"

"Don't roll your eyes at me"

He rolls his eyes again.

"No kisses for you for the rest of the day" I huff

"Why do you have to torture me?" he groans

"Because you're irritating me"

"Fine, then I have nothing to lose anymore" he smirks

"What do you mean?"

He tickles me again, but this time there's no chance he's letting me go.

"Take it back"

"N-never" I laugh, moving in his arms

"You sure?"

I don't react, I just laugh.

"Wanna make a bet?"

I already know what kind of bet.

"No"

"Aw, is Little A afraid to lose?"

"Yes!" I scream and laugh

He turns me around and smirks.

"So I have a chance of stealing a kiss from you today?"

"No"

"Hmm, I don't believe it"

"Well, you better do, because it's true"

He smirks again and pushes his lips against mine. I am taken by surprise by his action and when he moves his lips, I kiss him back.

"Ah boo! Resistance is key" Tyler yells disapprovingly

"I can know" Daniel mumbles and splashes water in Tyler's face

Ha, in your face!

I pull back and smile.

"That's not fair! You surprised me"

"But you did kiss him back, so you can't blame it on Mason" Jake says

"Oh, I see how it is"

"Oh yeah?"

Mason lets me go and I'm finally free to go!

I swim to Connor, Lauren and Jake.

"Help"

I look around, but Mason has disappeared. Huh?

"Hey, can you throw me that ball?" I ask Daniel, who's about 65 feet away from me

"Jeesz, where did you learn to throw like that?" I ask, my eyes bulging out as I look back, seeing the ball is at least 60 feet behind me

He shrugs and smiles at me.

I look around, still no sign of Mason. I am starting to get a bit worried if I'm honest, what if he drowned? Or maybe he's taken by the monster of Loch Ness...

Seriously Alex? We're in a pool, not in a lake. *eye roll*

I see the ball that Daniel had thrown way too hard and too far for me to catch and swim too it.

Okay, maybe I do need to sport more often... Err, nope.

It feels like I've swum a marathon, when it's been 65 feet max.

I grab the ball, but am being pulled back behind a small wall of theswimming pool.

So I know I said I would update yesterday, but I didn't... I'm sorry! To make it up to you, it's a longer chapter! Yaayy! :)

So I had that talk with my head teacher and it went pretty good, she just wanted to know how I'm doing and how everything's going, so there was no need to worry haha :)

GUYS, I FINALLY BAKED THAT CAKE, YAYY! I've already ate some of it and I'm proud of myself with my non-existing cooking skills, the cake is pretty good, yayy! :)

Next chapter will be updated on sunday (so in two days), I'm sorry it can't be earlier, but again, I'm very busy with school and my sport...
