Chapter 984
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 984:
âMrs. Gordon, Iâll figure it out. Give me a moment, and Iâll transfer the money over to you.â
âThank you, Lila.â
Rosalynâs voice was heavy with gratitude and relief.
âIâll make sure Evita transfers some back to you as soon as she calls me back. She mentioned last time that sheâs working at Klein Group.â
The mention of Evitaâs job made Lila pause.
Rosalyn clearly didnât know that Evita was no longer with Klein Group.
Lila didnât elaborate, replying only with a soft âalright.â After offering a few parting reassurances, she hung up and immediately began messaging her colleagues to borrow money. Two hundred thousand was no small sum, and though sheâd pooled together most of it, she still found herself short by tens of thousands.
Her modeling contract was nearing its end, and she had no intention of renewing it.
Once her contract ended, she would take the runway at Timeless Eleganceâs prestigious fashion show.
With Marcusâs powerful reputation behind the show, she was confident she could seize the opportunity and thrive, just as Madisyn had predicted.

After she sent out a flurry of messages to her colleagues, her thoughts drifted to Evita.
Was Evita unwell? Why couldnât Rosalyn reach her?
Uneasy, Lila decided she would head home after work to check on her.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Rosalyn ended the call and turned to the nurse beside her. âIâve secured the money for my treatment. It should arrive soon.â
The nurse, who had overheard bits of her conversation with Lila, nodded and said, âOnce it arrives, we can continue with the treatment.â
âThank you.â
Rosalyn felt a bit more at ease thanks to Lilaâs generosity.
Filled with gratitude, Rosalyn was eager to reach out to Evita again â partly to check on her daughterâs well-being and partly to let her know that the medical expenses had been taken care of. She dialed the familiar number, but to her surprise, the ringtone sounded from the entrance of the ward.
Her gaze followed the sound, and there stood Evita, pulling out her phone as she walked toward her.
âEvita!â Rosalynâs face lit up at the unexpected sight of her daughter. âLilaâs agreed to help cover the medical expenses. Did you get my messages? Why didnât you reply and just show up instead?â
Seeing her daughter stirred a mix of emotions in Rosalyn. Evita met her motherâs warm and tender gaze, her fingers clutching her handbag tightly.
