Chapter 920
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 920:
Panic swept over Sarai. She had used her close relationship with Luka to borrow a lot of money over the years, never planning to pay him back. As for those little schemes he mentionedâ¦
Sarai got out of the hospital bed and took hold of Lukaâs arm. âLuka, I was wrong. I didnât mean it. Weâre cousins, after all. Can you really stand to see me go to jail?â
Luka pulled his hand away from Sarai. âCousins? If you werenât my cousin, it wouldnât just be jail youâd be facing!â
Sarai shouted, âLuka!â
Madisyn stood nearby and said slowly, âIsnât this just perfect? Donât you miss your daughter? Now, your entire family can be brought back together.â
Sarai nearly passed out from anger before turning to Glenn. âGlenn, Iâm the only family your brother has left. If I end up in jail, he wonât be able to handle it.â
Glenn looked away, refusing to meet Saraiâs eyes. Sarai couldnât believe how heartless they were.
As she thought about her uncertain future, she couldnât hold back the tears and sank to the floor. âYouâre all trying to tear my family apart! You have it all, but youâre trying to send me to hell.â
âKarma will catch up with you for this!â Luka shot her a cold look. âYou get what you deserve!â
Luka turned to Elaine and said, âElaine, letâs go.â Without hesitation, they left. Moments later, the police arrived. Sarai caught sight of them and staggered, nearly fainting from sheer shock. Luka wasnât bluffing; he truly intended to have her arrested!

Once outside, Elaine couldnât hold back her curiosity and asked Luka, âHave you been close with her all these years?â Luka shook his head and replied, âNot particularly close, but sheâd occasionally come to me for help. I knew she had bent her principles for her daughterâs future.â
Vienna, ever perceptive, chimed in, âIâve always felt Sarai was trouble and warned Luka not to get too close to her. Otherwise, who knows how much more he wouldâve helped her.â
Luka looked a bit embarrassed. âWell, I felt obligated to help. Weâre family, after all. But Vienna, youâve always been the one to see things clearly.â
Elaine, observing the natural ease of their relationship, couldnât help but smile. As they went their separate ways, a profound sense of relief washed over Elaine. Her long-standing worries seemed to finally dissipate.
Elaine let out a sigh. âMy brotherâs business hasnât been doing well latelyâ¦â Without missing a beat, Glenn reassured her, âIâve already instructed someone to invest.â
Madisyn chimed in, âMy designer friend is quite talented; they should be able to lock in that collaboration with Marcus.â
As Elaine looked at her husband and daughter, her heart warmed, and her face glowed with gratitude. âIâm so blessed to have you both.â
