Chapter 1399
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1399:
âIâve heard so much about you from Collier,â Calan continued. âHe never stops talking about how talented and wonderful his sister is. Now that Iâve met you, I understand why.â
Lilyana blinked, momentarily caught off guard. âOh?â
She turned toward Collier, silently questioning just how much he had shared about her.
Calanâs gaze remained steady. âHeâs right, you know. You really are remarkable.â His eyes flickered with amusement as he noticed the faint blush dusting Lilyanaâs cheeks. âNo need to be embarrassed,â he added gently.
Collier, who had been listening all along, finally realized his sister and Calan were classmates. But what surprised him even more was the way Calanâs words had affected Lilyana.
His sister rarely blushed. Yet now, her face was noticeably redâmore than it ever was after her dance performances.
Collier narrowed his eyes at Calan, then at Lilyana, sensing something unusual between them. But being too young to piece it together, he simply scratched his head and shrugged it off.
âAnyway!â Collier suddenly chimed in, eager to change the subject. âCalan, since you just moved in, why donât we take a look around?â
Calan chuckled but nodded. âSure, come in.â
Lilyana and Collier followed him inside. Though the villa stood right next to theirs, the interior was strikingly differentâmore spacious, with elegant furnishings that hinted at quiet luxury.
After showing them around, Calan led them to the living room, where they settled onto the plush sofa.
Having served them drinks and snacks, Calan suddenly stood. âGive me a second,â he said before disappearing into another room.
When he returned, he held two small packages in his hands. Collierâs eyes lit up. âAre those for us?â he asked eagerly, leaning forward.
Calan handed the small packages to him and Lilyana with a gentle smile. âYes, these are for you. I hope you like them.â

Lilyana accepted hers, glancing at the neatly wrapped gift. âThank you,â she said, her voice softer. It struck her that she had probably spoken more to Calan today than in all their previous encounters combined.
The three of them sat on the sofa, falling into an easy conversation.
As they talked, Lilyana found herself reevaluating Calan. At school, he had always seemed distantâsomeone who kept to himself and never bothered with small talk. But here, he was different. Warmer. More approachable.
Was this the real him? Or was the Calan she knew at school the one who truly existed?
She wasnât sure yet. But as she pondered, her motherâs words from earlier surfaced in her mind.
A quick glance at the clock told her it was almost noon.
âSince todayâs your first day in the neighborhood, why donât you join us for lunch?â she offered.
Collier grinned. âYou have to try our chefâs cooking! I promise, after one meal, youâll never want to eat anywhere else!â
