Chapter 1385
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1385:
His nose was strong and well-defined, and at that moment, it felt high, firm, and impossibly smooth beneath her touch. Without realizing it, she brushed against him again, and then once more, as if drawn in by the simple, playful gesture.
It was an innocent teaseâyet, at a moment when his resolve was already wavering, it was enough to tip the scales. Like a spark to dry kindling, it ignited something undeniable between them, spreading quickly and uncontrollably.
Andrewâs breath deepened. His large hand slid around the curve of Madisynâs lower back, pulling her closer, holding her in place. His gaze darkened, filled with unspoken longing, before he lowered his head and captured her lips in a slow, deliberate kiss.
By the time morning arrived, the two of them awoke together in a guest room on the first floor. The servants had been dismissed for the weekend, leaving them in complete solitude, with no one to interrupt them.
As their eyes met, their gazes flickered over the faint traces left on each otherâs skinâsilent reminders of the night before.
Madisyn had gotten what she wanted. Andrew, however, frowned unconsciously.
His expression turned serious as he looked at her. âMadisyn, you were too reckless.â Disapproval was evident in his tone.
âI know everything you said last night was true, but risks exist no matter what. The only way to guarantee your absolute safety is to make sure this never happens at all.â
Madisyn blinked her bright, expressive eyes. She had expected this reaction from him. Smiling sweetly, she reached for his hand, lacing her fingers through his. âHoney, itâs already done. Itâs too late for regrets now.â
Then, giving his hand a gentle squeeze, she added with emphasis, âAnd besides, I wonât listen to any protests from you now. What happened last night was proof of how you really feel. So why not take a chanceâfor Nana, for yourself? If weâre meant to have another baby, you wonât be able to stop it, no matter what.â
Andrew didnât respond.
Because he knewâwhen it came to Madisyn, he was utterly powerless. If this was what she truly wanted, nothing he did could change it. And besides, it wasnât as if it would happen right away. Surely, fate wouldnât be so quick to decide.

At least, that was what he told himself.
Yet, just over two weeks later, when Madisynâs period was unexpectedly late, they found themselves sitting in a hospital examination room once again.
The same doctor from years ago delivered the verdict with a knowing smile. âCongratulations. Youâre officially pregnant.â
On the drive back from the hospital, Madisyn and Andrew sat side by side in the back seat, their moods a stark contrast.
Sensing Andrewâs quiet turmoil, Madisyn reached for his hand, intertwining their fingers.
âAlright, honey, this just proves that we were meant to have this baby. So cheer upâitâs not as bad as you think.â
Andrew wasnât the kind of man to resist reality. Even though he had struggled with worry before, the moment the test results were confirmed, he had already accepted the situation.
Realizing that Madisyn was trying to comfort him, Andrew didnât want to burden her with unnecessary worries, especially now, when she needed to focus on her pregnancy.
He placed his other hand over their intertwined fingers, his voice sincere and reassuring. âMadisyn, donât worry. Iâm not pessimistic. I was just thinking about a project.â
