Chapter 1382
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1382:
The next morning, Madisyn stepped out of the bedroom while Andrew was still getting ready. She made her way downstairs, only to be greeted by the sight of Nana, dressed in a soft yellow outfit, running toward her with her usual bright-eyed enthusiasm.
âMommy, good morning! You look so pretty today!â
Madisyn crouched down, wrapping Nana in a warm hug. A smile curved her lips as she teased, âGood morning, sweetheart! You look just as beautiful. Now, let Mommy take a good look at you. Have you been sneaking honey? Your words are dripping with sweetness this morning!â
Nana shook her head with exaggerated insistence. âIâm not just trying to make you happy, Mommy! In my heart, youâre the most, most, most beautiful person in the world! Oh! Mommy, did you and Daddy listen to me and work hard?â
She might not fully grasp the weight of her own words, but like all children, once she had something on her mind, she wasnât letting it go easily.
Madisyn hesitated. She and Andrew had only talked last night, and things were still unresolved. She couldnât give Nana a straight answer. But those expectant little eyes were locked onto her, waiting. Taking a moment to think, she replied, âSweetheart, how could Daddy and Mommy forget what you said? But do you remember what Mommy told you? When something is really important, you have to take it one step at a time. The bigger the decision, the less you should rush it. Thatâs what Daddy and Mommy are doing right now. Do you understand?â
Having a little brother was a big deal, and Nana instantly accepted Madisynâs reasoning without question. She considered it carefully, then nodded in agreement.
âMommy, youâre right! Even though I really, really want a little brother, I shouldnât rush things!â
She was so determined to say the right thing, sifting through her small vocabulary for words that fit the moment.
Grabbing Madisynâs hand, Nana beamed. âCome on, letâs have breakfast! Mommy, you must be hungry too!â
At the dining table, before taking a bite for herself, Nana carefully picked up a glass of milk with both hands and placed it in front of Madisyn.

Then, she scurried over to Andrewâs usual seat and set down his black coffee, making sure everything was just right. By the time Andrew came downstairs, Nana had already slipped back into her seat, waiting expectantly.
âThank you, sweetheart.â
Madisyn was touched by how their little girl already knew how to care for them. A warmth filled her chest.
She took a sip of milk, her resolve strengthening to convince Andrew and turn Nanaâs dream of becoming a big sister into a reality.
Soon, the weekend arrived, and Elio was finally free from kindergarten. Madisyn took Nana to Johns Manor. But while they had left together, only Madisyn returned home later.
As Madisyn watched Nanaâs tiny hand waving at her in the rearview mirror, her heart swelled with warmth. Love for her daughter shimmered in her eyes, and with it, a newfound confidence in her next move.
As soon as she got home, she grabbed her phone and sent Andrew a message. âDarling, come home early after work. Iâll cook!â
Along with her text, she sent a picture of their dining room. Though the meal wasnât prepared yet, she had already set the moodâsoft, golden lighting casting a romantic glow over the table adorned with fresh flowers and a bottle of red wine.
