Chapter 1359
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1359:
Curiosity flickered across Madisynâs features.
âA business trip?â Her question hung in the air.
Andrew drew closer, a mysterious smile playing at his lips. âNo, nothing like that.â
âWhat is it then?â Madisyn studied his face, noting how his expression held none of the usual gravity of work-related matters.
Andrew didnât prolong the suspense. His lips curved into a gentle smile as he lifted his black briefcase. With deliberate care, he opened it.
There, nestled inside, was a perfectly wrapped package of crispy corn.
Madisynâs eyes lit up with recognition at the familiar logo.
âFrom the famous shop on Colto Road!â
âYou mentioned wanting some, didnât you? Here, try it while itâs still warm.â Andrew carefully extracted the treat and offered it to Madisyn, his movements precise and thoughtful.
The familiar aroma wafted up to Madisyn, along with the comforting warmth that still clung to the package. Her heart swelled with emotion. Just last night, she had mentioned the crispy corn from Colto Road in passingânot even expressing a direct desire for it. Yet here was Andrew, having gone out of his way to bring it to her.
It struck her then how Andrew had always been this way, treasuring every word she spoke, no matter how casual. This thoughtfulness, this quiet attention to detail, warmed her heart more deeply than any display of wealth or power ever could.
âThank you, Andrew,â Madisyn murmured.
Andrew reached out playfully, gently tapping her nose with his finger. His smile widened as he said, âItâs nothing special. Come on, sit down and enjoy it.â
Andrew slipped his arm protectively around Madisynâs waist, guiding her to a comfortable seat. Once she was settled, he moved with practiced careâpouring water, laying out tissues, his eyes never straying far from her face as she savored her treat.
In the garden, the servants couldnât help but observe the tender scene unfolding before them.

âJust look at how he dotes on her,â one whispered dreamily. âEvery little detail, he thinks of it all. Sheâs always his first priority. Now thatâs what I call true love.â
âIndeed,â another concurred softly. âFor all their status in society, they have none of those awful rich people habits you hear about. Heaven, grant them this happiness forever.â
âYou know what they say about pregnancy being a risky time for marriages,â a third murmured. âBut look at herâshe must be the most cherished mother-to-be Iâve ever laid eyes on.â
The servantsâ whispered observations went unnoticed by the couple. After Madisyn finished the last morsel of corn, she and Andrew made their way back to the living room.
Later that evening, settled comfortably on their bed, Madisyn looked up at Andrew with gentle eyes.
âHoney, could you hand me the babyâs storybook?â
âOf course.â
Andrew retrieved the book for herâa nightly ritual theyâd adopted on Susanâs recommendation.
