Chapter 1330
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1330:
Seeing them all there, sharing this moment, made her heart warm.
She was truly lucky to have them.
âThank you. I will!â
Meanwhile, in Mila, Waylon nearly leaped to his feet when he heard Madisyn say over the phone that she and Andrew were getting married at the end of the year.
âMadisyn, youâre getting married while Iâm not even around?!â Madisyn winced at his loud reaction, pulling the phone slightly away from her ear. Amused but exasperated, she sighed.
âWaylon, I just accepted Andrewâs proposal. The wedding is at the end of the year, when youâll be back. Iâm not running off to get married tomorrow.â
Waylon wasnât satisfied. After a brief pause, he let out a dramatic sigh.
âBut in my eyes, agreeing to his proposal is no different from marrying him already. Oh, my dear sister, youâre really leaving me behind. I thought you were calling to check on me, but instead, youâre telling me youâre getting marriedâ¦â
Madisyn pinched the bridge of her nose, shaking her head at his theatrics.
âWaylon, get a grip, or Iâm hanging up on you.â At that, Waylon chuckled, his act dropping.
âAlright, alright, my dear Madisyn. Iâll stop messing with you now.â His voice softened as he added, âDonât worry. Iâll definitely be there for your and Andrewâs wedding. I would have to worry about you if you were marrying anyone else, but since itâs Andrew⦠I know youâll be in good hands. Iâll be back at the end of the month!â
Hanging up the phone, Waylon strode over to his assistant, his first words firm and to the point.
âHelp me modify my schedule. Weâre heading back to Lorpond at the end of the month.â
The assistant froze for a second, blinking in surprise. Was this really the Waylonâthe workaholic who practically lived for his job? He was actually cutting a work trip short?

Still, he did his job without hesitation.
âUnderstood. Iâll get everything arranged right away.â
Waylon had spent the better part of his time abroad drowning in work. He had made acquaintances, sure, but Jenny was the only one he truly considered a close friend.
So, when he told her over dinner that he was heading back to Lorpond and this was a farewell meal, she nearly dropped her fork.
âWaitâwhat? You never mentioned this before.â
Waylon lifted his glass, the faintest smirk playing on his lips.
âMy sisterâs getting married at the end of the year. Itâs a big deal for the family, so I have to go back. And honestly, Iâve been in Mila for a while now. Feels like time for a change.â
He lowered his gaze slightly, letting his eyelashes veil the emotions rising within him. It wasnât just about family. Someone else had been on his mind.
After all this time, he couldnât help but wonderâhow was she doing? Jenny, oblivious to his moment of introspection, brightened with excitement.
âOh, you mean Madisyn? The sister you always talk about?â Waylon gave a small nod.
Jenny leaned forward, eyes gleaming with curiosity.
