Chapter 1315
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1315:
Elton had full confidence in their efficiency. But as he drove toward the hospital, his route took him down Zenis Road, and what he saw sent an ice-cold jolt through him.
His chest tightened. The men who were supposed to be taking care of Madisyn and Andrew were right there!
And even more shocking, Denby stood before them, facing them head-on.
Panic slammed into Elton. He hadnât accounted for this.
His hands gripped the wheel as he instinctively hit the brakes. Without a second thought, he twisted the car around and sped toward them, his gaze locking onto Denby and the others. There was only one thought in his mindâhe had to stop them from talking!
When Elton first contacted Roccoâs men, years of buried resentment had surged within them.
But while they werenât the smartest, they werenât complete fools either. They had no intention of blindly following Eltonâs orders and going after Madisyn and Andrew.
After Rocco had been punished, he had given them one directiveâdonât act on old grudges recklessly. Instead, use every opportunity to secure something even greater.
So, they played along with Elton, pretending to accept his plan while extracting every detail they could. They studied Denbyâs schedule, mapped out their moves, and thenâwent straight to him.
On Zenis Road, Denby eyed the men who had stopped his car, their expressions laced with urgency.
âWhat do you want to say?â The leader stepped forward.
âCommander Thatcher, we have a report to file against someone.â He pulled out a folded slip of paper and handed it over.
Denby unfolded it, his eyes scanning the handwriting. In that instant, his breath hitched.

That writing⦠Back when he had investigated Alvinaâs death, the note that led to her demiseâthe one that contained the wrong informationâhad this very same handwriting. And now, it had appeared again.
The man continued, âWe were bribed by this person to target a woman named Madisyn and Andrew. But the thing isâthose two have done us a great favor.â
Each of them bore the lingering effects of past injuries.
Though they had never been treated directly by Madisyn, the doctors at the Johns familyâs hospitalâwho had learned from herâhad healed their wounds, free of charge.
Curious, they had asked the doctors why. That was when they learned about Madisynâs teachings, her training methods, and the new policy that granted free medical care to veterans who could prove their service.
These men had once lived by a strict code of loyalty and brotherhood. Rocco had instilled that in them. How could they turn around and betray the very woman who had unknowingly saved them?
Denby hadnât expected to stumble upon a clue about his daughterâs death in this way.
He studied the men, his voice firm.
âThe person who contacted youâdid they have any distinct features?â
The leader answered without hesitation, âHeâs left-handed. These words were written with his left hand.â
