Chapter 1292
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1292:
No sooner had she posted the picture than her phone buzzed with an incoming call from Sadie.
âEvie, where did you go? I went to your house and rang the doorbell forever, but no one answered.â
Evie stiffened, suddenly remembering that today, she was supposed to travel with Sadie to another city for an event.
Replaying the whirlwind of events from yesterday until now, she shut her eyes, a tinge of guilt creeping in.
âSadie, I completely forgot to tell youâI had something urgent come up. I canât work today. Can you postpone it for me? Iâm really sorry for the trouble.â
Sadie hesitated for a moment.
âItâs no trouble, but Evie, promise me next time youâll let me know. You have no idea how worried I was when I couldnât reach you.â
âI promise. It wonât happen again.â
As soon as the call ended, Evie wasted no time. She booked a flight home immediately.
As dawn crept in, Madisyn stirred, a comforting warmth enveloping her hand. Andrew was holding her close, his embrace steady and reassuring, filling her with an inexplicable sense of belonging. Slowly, she opened her eyes, her mind drifting to the plans for the dayâone of which included visiting Andrewâs maternal grandfather.
Turning over in Andrewâs arms, she propped herself up slightly, letting her gaze linger on his striking features, the bedside light casting soft shadows over his face.
âHoney?â The moment she moved, Andrew stirred. His arms instinctively tightened around her, pulling her back into his embrace, his sharply defined chin resting atop her head.
As Madisyn nestled against his firm chest, the subtle scent of sandalwood surrounded herâa scent uniquely his. This serene, intimate morning filled her with an undeniable sense of happiness.
But knowing they had a full day ahead, Madisyn trailed her fingers up the side of Andrewâs face. She pinched him lightly.

âHoney, we canât sleep in. Itâs time to get up.â Her voice was soft, but Andrew only sank deeper into the warmth of the moment. Though awake, he refused to open his eyes.
Catching her hand, he pulled it back under the covers, playfully entwining his fingers with hers.
âBaby, stop it.â
Madisyn eyed him, equal parts amused and exasperated. He was always so composed and distant, yet here he was, reluctant to rise, clinging to the morningâs tranquility. The contrast was unexpectedly endearing.
Her gaze traced the contours of his faceâhis dark brows, long lashes, the perfect bridge of his nose, and his light red lips. Every feature was impossibly well-proportioned.
Something stirred inside her. Acting on impulse, she tilted her chin and pressed a gentle kiss to his lips.
But just as she was about to retreat, Andrewâs eyes snapped open. A firm hand pressed against her back, holding her in place.
In an instant, his lips claimed hers, his breath mingling with hers.
âMmmâ¦â
