Chapter 1282
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1282:
âAndrew is always too busy to be found! Iâd hoped heâd bring you over, but he wouldnât answer his phone. So I thought, why not call you directly? These fish, theyâre being saved just for you!â
Madisyn couldnât suppress a gentle laugh at his mock indignation, her heart warming at his thoughtful gesture.
âMr. Klein, Iâm touched you thought of us. Iâve checked our schedulesâAndrew and I can come to the manor tomorrow morning.â
âSplendid!â Damariâs voice brightened.
âIâll start the preparations right away, looking forward to your visit tomorrow.â
Later, when Andrew arrived to pick her up, Madisyn shared the details of Damariâs invitation to Klein Manor.
âI noticed weâre both free tomorrow,â she said.
âYour grandfatherâs being so kindâI went ahead and accepted. If anything comes up on your end, I can always let him know.â
âTomorrow works fine,â Andrew replied, his tone unusually flat. His elegant fingers rested loosely on the steering wheel as he guided the car out of its parking space.
Something in Andrewâs manner set off warning bells in Madisynâs intuition. His typical stoic demeanor had shifted into something more⦠distant.
Though Andrew had always been a master of subtle expressions, this felt markedly different from their previous visits to Klein Manor. Was there something lurking beneath the surface that she wasnât privy to? Or perhaps her imagination was working overtime?
After studying Andrewâs features for a moment longer and detecting no further signs of distress, Madisyn pushed her concerns aside. Together, they focused on selecting appropriate gifts for their visit to the manor. The following morning found them pulling up to Klein Manorâs impressive entrance.
As Madisyn stepped out of the car, she spotted Damari and the butler standing in the courtyard.
âMr. Klein,â she called out warmly, raising her hand in greeting.

âHi, Madisyn.â
As Damari ushered Madisyn toward the house, his demeanor shifted noticeably when his eyes fell on Andrew. A disapproving snort escaped him.
âYou ungrateful boyâif it werenât for Madisyn visiting today, I doubt youâd have bothered showing your face!â
Andrew responded evenly, âGrandpa, you know Iâd be here whenever you truly need me.â Andrew followed Madisyn with measured steps, gifts in hand, his expression unchanged by his grandfatherâs disapproval as they made their way to the living room.
Once they were seated, servants glided in with tea and delicate snacks. Damari showered Madisyn with warm attention, inquiring about her work, life, and familyâpointedly excluding Andrew from the conversation.
Though Madisyn noticed the palpable tension between the two men, she kept her observations to herself. At the dining table, before an impressive spread of dishes, Damari turned to her with pride in his eyes.
âWell, Madisyn, what do you think?â
The culinary mastery at Klein Manor had always left an impression on Madisyn. Todayâs spread was no exceptionâeach dish a masterpiece that no amount of money could replicate in ordinary restaurants.
