Chapter 1262
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1262:
And now, barely minutes later, Lilian had shown up.
Lilian let out a small breath of reliefâJared didnât seem to have a clue about Nolaâs true identity.
Her anger toward Nola dimmed slightly. If Nola had said something she shouldnât have, Lilian would make sure Nola lived to regret it. Lilian shot Nola a sharp glare.
âNow that youâve played tour guide, go do your job. What are you standing around for?â
âYes, Iâll go right away.â Nola flinched, clearly startled, and quickly nodded before bowing. But just as she turned to leave, she stole a glance at Jared.
For a brief moment, under the perfect angle and lighting, Nola looked breathtakingly beautifulâalmost mesmerizing. Lilian, catching the way Jaredâs gaze lingered, felt her barely contained anger ignite all over again.
Jared, momentarily caught off guard by Nolaâs fleeting look, snapped back to himself and turned to Lilian.
âYou came in such a rush. Is there something important you need to tell me?â
Lilian had come to ask Jared for help, but Nolaâs presence had thrown everything into disarray, leaving her emotions tangled.
With her prideful nature, asking for help was already difficult enough. But now, with Jared and that woman aggravating her, the words she had planned to say suddenly felt impossible to voice.
âItâs nothing. Just some minor funding issues with the Fishermanâs Cove project. But donât worry, the Perkins family has the resources to handle it. I just thought Iâd inform you. Alsoâgoing forward, you are not to speak to that woman without my permission.â
She regained her composure, set the terms, and then turned on her heel, her black high heels clicking sharply against the floor as she walked away.
Back in her room, Lilian pulled out her phone and scrolled to the mysterious contactâs message. After a brief pause, she replied, âI agree to your terms. Transfer the investment.â
âGood. Deal.â

The reply came almost instantly, as if the sender had been expecting her message. Within seconds, an electronic contract arrived for her to sign.
Lilian scanned the document carefully. Finding nothing amiss, she signed and sealed it, making the agreement official.
True to their word, the mysterious figure wasted no time. Within two days, Lilianâs financial crisis was resolved.
The stalled Fishermanâs Cove project was back on track, the boardroom filled with nothing but smooth negotiations and satisfied shareholders. The very people who had been berating her days ago were now falling over themselves to praise her. After all, anyone who could secure such a massive investment at the eleventh hour was not someone to underestimate.
Jared and Madisyn, having caught wind of the situation, couldnât help but be intrigued by the unknown benefactor who had stepped in to save Lilian.
âIâve confirmed the evidence against the Perkins family is locked in a safe inside Aldwinâs bookshelf,â Jared said.
âIâm just waiting on the higher-ups to greenlight the operation. But this mysterious investor⦠I have no idea who they are. They are not even in the Perkins familyâs extensive network. Iâm worried this might throw an unexpected wrench into things.â
