Chapter 1217
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1217:
That evening, Evie returned to the villa to see a Rolls-Royce parked out front. Her older brother was standing beside the car, waiting. A sudden wave of emotion welled up in Evieâs eyes, and she paused, taking a moment to compose herself.
âAndrew, why are you here?â she asked as she approached him, her bag in hand.
âJust checking up on you.â Andrewâs intense gaze mirrored his sisterâs.
âArenât you going to invite me inside?â
This had always been their way. Evie quickly responded, âOf course I will! My dear brother, please, come inside!â
From the moment Andrew had arrived, heâd been watching her closely, though Evie gave nothing away. When they stepped inside, the warmth of the house eased some of his worries. The decorations had changed, giving the place a homier, more inviting feel.
They sat together, and Andrew fixed his gaze on Evie.
âNo matter what happens, Iâll always be your strongest support. If anythingâs troubling you, you need to tell me. Youâre our familyâs precious one. You donât need to face everything on your own. Understand?â
Andrewâs words cut through to Evieâs heart. She felt her nose sting as tears welled up.
Laughing through the tears, she wiped her face with a tissue and nodded.
âDonât worry, Andrew. Iâve got it. Iâll take care of myselfâ¦â
After her tears had subsided, Evie felt lighter. They shared a meal, and Evie gently urged Andrew to leave.
âAndrew, you donât need to worry about me anymore. Go find Madisyn. Iâll be fine.â
âAlright.â
After seeing Andrew off, Evie felt a sudden clarity, as though pieces of a puzzle had fallen into place. She quickly grabbed her phone and sent a message to her agent.
âAlis, do you still have the contact details for the assistant you recommended to me? If itâs convenient, could you also help me find a reliable housekeeper? Thanks.â

At Madisynâs villa, the swimming pool glistened under the harsh headlights of a car, the shadows of trees and flowers casting their fleeting forms onto the shimmering water.
Madisyn, submerged beneath the surface, caught sight of a figure standing by the poolâs edge. She crossed her legs and pushed herself through the water with her slender arms.
With a soft splash, she emerged like a mermaid, the waterâs shimmering glow wrapping around her in an almost otherworldly aura. Bobbing in the water, she glanced up at Andrew and said, âYouâre back. How is Evie?â
âSheâs fine,â Andrew responded briefly, his eyes fixed on Madisyn as he described his meeting with Evie. He couldnât tear his gaze away from her, and his voice became slightly hoarse.
âAre you cold?â
The temperature had dropped, but Madisyn shook her head lightly.
âSwimming is a sport, and the pool has a temperature control system. Itâs not cold at all.â
Noticing Andrew still standing there, she swam a little closer, extending her hand with an inviting smile.
