Chapter 1118
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1118:
Madisyn quickly responded, âI understand, Mom. Iâll make sure to eat well.â
Elaine nodded in agreement, but a sudden thought crossed her mind.
âI didnât notice you had lost weight because Iâm not by your side every day. Andrewâs with you all dayâwhy hasnât he persuaded you to take better care of yourself?â
Madisyn blinked in surprise. Her motherâs words hit her like a wake-up call. She hadnât realized just how little sheâd communicated with Andrew lately, or how he hadnât been reminding her to eat.
Elaine narrowed her eyes, sensing something was off. She paused, her shopping plans forgotten. A motherâs instinct kicked in, and she asked gently, âSweetheart, tell me honestly, is there something going on between you and Andrew?â
âMom, weâre fine,â Madisyn replied automatically.
Elaine, unconvinced, pressed further. âThen tell me, how long has it been since you two went out together? And what did you have for lunch today?â
Madisyn fell silent.
The last time theyâd gone out together was nearly a month ago. As for lunch, she knew sheâd eaten it at the company cafeteria, but beyond that⦠she wasnât sure what Andrew had been up to.
Elaine, having lived through her own youth, saw the signs and gently took Madisynâs hand. Her voice softened. âMadisyn, I know you and Andrew are both incredible people, and you care about each other deeply. But keeping love alive, staying in love, thatâs the real challenge. You need to show concern for each other. When youâre busy, donât neglect him.â
Madisyn met her motherâs earnest gaze, and with a deep breath, she nodded.
âMom, I understand.

Thank you for reminding me. Iâll reach out to Andrew right now.â
Madisyn pulled out her phone and opened their last conversation, where Andrew had asked if she wanted to watch the sunset after work, and sheâd said maybe next time.
Feeling a little frustrated with herself, Madisyn started typing a message, only to stop midway. She deleted what sheâd written and typed a new message instead. âHoney, the weatherâs beautiful today. If youâre free, can we catch up on that sunset we missed?â
She hit send, but there was no reply. Sighing, she turned to Elaine. âAndrewâs probably busy, Mom. Letâs go ahead and shop, and Iâll try again later.â
Elaine nodded, seizing the perfect opportunity to pick out some lovely outfits for her daughter.
After more than three hours of shopping, Elaine was ready to head home. Before leaving, she gave Madisyn a playful wink. âSweetheart, take good care of yourself.â
âI will, Mom.â Madisyn waved farewell to Elaine, watching as the driver escorted her mother away. She placed the clothes Elaine had purchased for her into the car. Settling into the driverâs seat, she glanced at her phone screen, still void of any new messages. After a momentâs hesitation, she decided to call Andrew.
The phone rang several times, but he didnât pick up. Madisyn pursed her lips, deciding to drive straight to Klein Groupâs building.
When she arrived, she expected to find Andrew hard at work. But to her surprise, Andrewâs assistant informed her that both Andrew and Malachi had been absent from the office all afternoon.
