Her eyes glinted coldly. If progress wasn’t made soon, she would have no choice but to abduct Damari and extract Dr. Mia’s information by force.

Following Nathan, Ailyn entered a lavish suite occupied by the elders.

In the living room, the elders sat with furrowed brows and anxious expressions, their faces etched with worry. Ailyn carefully observed them, taking in the shared signs of distress that marked each of their features. She knew that another attempt to reach Andrew had failed.

“Can we offer any more concessions on the collaboration?” she asked.

The elders shook their heads.

“Miss Vettel, we’ve practically handed them the deal, yet Klein Group won’t budge. Do you think this Dr. Mia might be a hoax? Could that be why they’re hesitant to agree?”

“That’s not possible,” Ailyn said firmly, shaking her head. “My uncle’s information is always reliable. The patriarchs of the Lambert and Klein families in Ansport were diagnosed with terminal illnesses. If not for Dr. Mia, they wouldn’t have survived this long.”

The gravity of her words settled over everyone. Upon arriving in Ansport, they had wasted no time and immediately sought contact with the Lambert and Klein families, desperate to meet Dr. Mia.

But their hopes had been quickly dashed. The Lambert family had claimed they had lost contact with Dr. Mia long ago.

Their attempts with the Klein family weren’t much better. Despite their offers of lucrative business cooperation, Andrew refused to disclose anything useful. Yet, they knew he had met Dr. Mia recently.

“What now, Ailyn? The fashion show has ended, and many people back home are watching every move we make. We can’t linger in Lorpond much longer.” The pressure was mounting. After all, the prominent families thrived on fierce competition.

They all came from the same branch of the family, and there were countless people eyeing Ailyn’s father’s position. If they failed to cure him, their branch would lose power and be forced to submit to others.

“We need to think harder,” Ailyn said, her voice steady despite the turmoil inside. “What could the Klein Group possibly want from us? There has to be a way to make this work. If we fail again—”

Her words were interrupted by the shrill ring of a phone. An elder in their group quickly answered, his expression shifting as he listened. Moments later, his face broke into a wide smile.

“Really?” he exclaimed, his voice trembling with excitement. “That’s incredible news. We’ll be there tomorrow, right on time!”
