Chapter 1006
Comeback Of The Adored Heiress
Chapter 1006:
Fireworks erupted on the screen, and Madisyn smiled in satisfaction at the result. Her hand-speed training score was consistently impressive.
Behind her, Andrew studied the score with a thoughtful expression. He was familiar with the game, having seen it on the market for several years. The gameâs âhell modeâ had been developed based on his performance during an internal test as an investor. Andrew hadnât played it since its release.
He knew how difficult âhell modeâ was. It was an accomplishment for ordinary players just to pass it.
Remembering Madisynâs computer skills, which had hinted at her possible hacking abilities, Andrew felt a surge of admiration. She was truly exceptional. He couldnât help but wonder where her talents would take her.
Madisyn finished the game, shut down the tablet, and glanced at Andrew. He stood tall in his expensive suit, his tie and watch radiating the confidence of a top business executive. But the fact that he came home so late tugged at her heartstrings.
Unaware of Andrewâs thoughts, Madisyn leaned in to kiss his cheek. âYou work so hard. Are you hungry? Should I get you a midnight snack?â
There wouldnât be any snacks at this hour in the villa unless Madisyn had prepared something in advance.
Andrew caught her wrist, gently halting her. He pulled her into his arms, their bodies pressed close together. He shook his head, a soft smile returning to his eyes. âIâm not hungry, just a little thirsty from the drive back.â

Thirsty?
Madisyn immediately offered, âThen Iâll get you a glass of water.â
âNo need. Isnât there some here already, sweetheart?â
Andrew let out a soft chuckle, his voice smooth and rich like velvet.
As he finished speaking, his slender fingers gently lifted Madisynâs chin, and he leaned in to capture her soft, pink lips. The kiss melted away her confusion.
The sound of running water echoed faintly from the bathroom. Madisyn sat at the edge of the bed, her gaze fixed on the shadowy reflection on the bathroom door, her thoughts racing like a storm in her mind.
Today, Andrew seemed⦠different. It took her a moment to find the right word for it.
Uneasy.
What could be worrying him? Had he encountered trouble? Madisynâs thoughts drifted to the five percent of Klein Groupâs shares that Damari had transferred to her.
Although she had signed the agreement and the shares were officially hers, she had never involved herself in Klein Groupâs affairs.
She was accustomed to overseeing the operations of Edge Entertainment, delegating the remaining tasks to her capable team, which meant she didnât have to work late into the night like Andrew did.
